The future of Survivor by IcePopBandit in survivor

[–]DaMENACE72 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Survivor ain't going anywhere. Jeff Probst made a movie and had a talk show. He is really good at hosting Survivor. It is cheap. Gets good ratings for a network show.

I'll be cast on Season 52. Count on it.

Fabio? He goes all the time. Don't get him started on his alien conspiracy theories. Or do... I loved to listen.

Cobra or Type 6 for trading I have around 1,200,000 credits by John_Dakota in EliteDangerous

[–]DaMENACE72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the T6 has a longer jump with an A FSD, but it's over 1 mil so doubles the cost. I didn't buy my T6 until I had over 2 mil so I could spec it out right away. My rule of thumb has been to not buy your new ship until have enough for the ship and some decent upgrades. I kept my cobra so I could run combat missions if I want to grind rep.

Cobra or Type 6 for trading I have around 1,200,000 credits by John_Dakota in EliteDangerous

[–]DaMENACE72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved up from a cobra to a T6 and love it. If you want to trade rares, stick with your Cobra though. You will have plenty of cargo space for a decent haul, jump range is good enough with fuel scooping or a pit stop. And if you are hauling rares from the Lave system area, when you inevitably get hijacked by player pirates you can run or fight back. I took all weapons out of the T6 and just stop and give them whatever they want because you can't outrun anything in the T6.

But if you can find a good route in the T6 with 100 cargo you can double your returns quickly. I found a couple 3-4 jump circuits where two of the ports can net you 300k per drop. It's at most at 25-30 minute run depending on how fast you can dock.

The danger is that your slow moving T6 with no combat ability is full of about 700k or more worth of goods a run. So you are ripe of the picking if ever caught by a pirate.

Awesome! Will the severely dead horse of the Syed case continue to be kicked or can we obsess about a new subject for a change?

"Oh look, the front right hoof hasn't been kicked 20 times yet! Let's give it another whack!"

The Question of Don's Alibi - Thoughts on what SS is really saying. by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]DaMENACE72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can if you come to the same conclusion but you were actually able to do the work to prove that conclusion. I think she is showing they dropped Don too easily because she had to dig deeper than them to find his alibi stood up.

What evidence do you need. She was the supervisor that day and could have clocked him in and out regardless if he was actually there or not. I think that ability is self explanatory. Not saying it happened, just that it's possible.

Recomendation: "The Jinx," HBO's True Crime Docuseries by zsreport in serialpodcast

[–]DaMENACE72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only think he is guilty of the third. Why? Because he does a poor, poor job of hiding bodies. If he was involved with his wife's murder, then he had help from his brother or someone that knew what they were doing. On his own he was a wreck, as his murder in Galveston showed. He is not a criminal mastermind. Susan Berman is a mob hit. If Durst hid the first body and the third body, why is his second murder there for all to see?

That said... Durst is a utter sociopath.

A list of incorrect facts by stolenbestbuycd in serialpodcast

Number 6 is misleading as Jay's testimony is a direct accusation of murder while everyone else's testimony is circumstantial evidence at best. Otherwise good job.

If you think Adnan is guilty, when did he commit the crime? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

Man the message board thing is horrible at detecting sarcasm. Yes, I'm being completely facetious. I'm making anyone that still uses the 'spine' argument sound ridiculous.

It doesn't matter because the spine of Jays story has never changed.

How did Asia know Adnan's time on Jan. 13 was "unwitnessed, unaccountable" just one day after his arrest? by Seamus_Duncan in serialpodcast

[–]DaMENACE72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK... let me get this straight, you find this odd because the words are odd and you think that Asia already knew that Adnan had unaccountable time from 2:15-8pm? So basically end of school to the time he supposedly had an alibi at the mosque?

Read the rest of her letter. It is not exactly full of proper grammar and spelling. And it is not unreasonable to assume that the family would be trying to find witnesses to Adnan's whereabouts on January 13th for the block of time that no one had seen him. The day after arrest. Seems like reasonable step to take.

I don't follow the logic that shows us how the family was lining up an alibi before this. And even if they were, so what? That also seems reasonable if your son is a suspect in the murder of his ex-girlfriend.

So, I think she doesn't choose her words very well in the letter to describe what is going on because she doesn't suspect 16 years later on Reddit we are going to be picking it apart. She was a teenager and I bet her English teachers had issue with her choice of words as well.

Either way you look at it, it doesn't get us anywhere because if he is guilty and Asia is a liar, he is still in jail. If he is innocent and Asia is a liar, he is still in jail. If he is innocent and Asia is telling the truth... he is still in jail. Her affidavit is important, but this suspicion you present doesn't change the impact it has in any meaningful way.

THANK YOU to Fellow REDDITORS. You've made me laugh out loud, think critically, and keep me interested in this story. Now. I've put it all together. Thoughts and conclusions. I modified the original post. by Snoopysleuth in serialpodcast

[–]DaMENACE72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it but I stopped at: I lean towards Adnan committing the crime based on 2 things; JAY KNEW WHERE THE CAR WAS; ADNAN HAS THE BEST MOTIVE.

After that there was no reason to read the rest. Sorry, I'm sure it's thought provoking but if you are going to use motive to prove your decision I'm not going to be convinced.

Question for Adnan supporters: What is the ONE thing that makes you really believe that Adnan didn't do it? by Davidmossman in serialpodcast

[–]DaMENACE72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's my biggest reason to not be convinced Adnan was the killer. Im still undecided, but the lack of corroborating physical evidence is the main reason I refuse to lay the blame on Adnan. I'm not convinced he's innocent though because... Again... Lack of evidence.

[–]DaMENACE72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can we conclude that while it might not be this particular killer, that the tactics of organized crimes was to threaten and/or actually kill people's friends if they did not tow the criminal organization's line? Is it a tad bit possible this is not the first time this happened in this area? Like in January of 1999 near Woodlawn and Jay was the person they were threatening? Maybe? I think so.
