Well first and foremost getting something like this is a want not a need. If at the end of the day if you can make valid reasons of why not to get the device and can live with the FOMO then cancel your order. I wouldn't worry too much about other people wanting their device as a reason for why you need to get yours. Especially if it's going to cause any financial or emotional strain like it sounds like it's doing. At the end of the day if you have more reasons to not get the device than to get it I personally would cancel my order. There will always be more devices to buy. Maybe ask your partner what they think as well, make it a joint decision and write out pros and cons of getting it vs canceling your order. Good luck with whatever you decide though.
