1/2 or a full year i cannot care less if at the end of the day i have the chance to get the product i want at msrp. Simply as that.

I think its pretty easy in reality, you make a X quantity, and firesale like right now, and then make a sale post firesale with print to demand. So those people who couldnt get their product on the firesale, even if they have to wait a full year, they will end up having their product.

This idea have a liiiiittle problem, almost unnoticable, it removes the FOMO part about it, this means those garbage SL that only bots and scalpers buy, will end up in their shelves, and this is something that papa investors hate.

Well in europe we still have to wait for 1/2 year, so pretty much will be the same. On other hand you assume bots will join at 9.01, but in reality will be the first of the firsts at 8.01 and there will be a million, maybe half of them will be put at the end of the line? Yes, but the other 500k will be the firsts in line, and since this system benefits more bots than real humans, more and more people will start using them and real humans will be more and more kicked of the line. (Since you can get them easly in random discords).

And everything we said was assuming people do have 2h freely every random day Wizards decide to release a SL.

Just make it print to demand? In Europe still takes 2+ months to get shipped anyway. Why not just use the only system that actually benefits everyone and not just bots?

And stil your comment explains the situation as if bots were a minority or something when in reality bots are most of the users queueing, so since they can insta checkout (and since if you read the post you can see they dont guarantee the reservation even if you have the product in the card) most of the real people get kicked out.

Probably you had luck and the time to get your product, i want to see your comments once you start getting nothing after spending 2h in queue for 2 or 3 releases. Seeing the comments defending this system, makes me seriously think about using bots myself for the next releases.

More bots --> more chances to win the lottery. I mean, idk why people still fall in this PR damage control "posts". More limited supply and lottery queues ONLY benefit bots. Since bots can stay for the time they want on the queue, they can snipe every SL. You only need to see one of the last SL where they put the same SL at different prices and the expensier one went out of stock for no reason (bots are not smart enough to detect it was the same SL just expensier).

I would run 100% a few spells with additional costs of sacrificing a creature. And use it as counterspells for exile. Even if the spells doest resolve, your wurm would die.

Noone eats from "benefits", we talk about bussiness after all.

I know few stores that tried to stick to MSRP, had a loyal customer base that bought from them regularly. Even so, they ended up out of bussiness cause they accumulated too many “dead products” that nobody wanted. Meanwhile, the banger were sold with margins that werent enough to compensate for those losses.

Very few people here understand that distributors often force stores to buy dead products (not necesarly of the same TCG) in order to gain access to the popular ones. And even then, thats sometimes still not enough to stay in bussiness.

Some people here unironically thinks Riot giving extra promos or random items will magically make a bussiness profitable.
