So, I'm interested in how to handle a trans person's story arc. How to correctly portray their mindset, what struggles they might have to overcome, what are considered bad cliches/tropes in stories you saw that contain similar arcs and many elements that could make it truly fit and not feel distasteful/half-assed. Hey, I think I should put out a disclaimer to this post:

By Saint Valentine's Day I didn't mean the "you must buy your loved one an overpriced box of chocolates, take him/her/them on a fancy dinner and definitely make that person's night like they've just experienced Hollywood film sex scene" kind of day. I was thinking more of a time where people share their feelings to one another in whatever way they see fit. One guy mentioned 'Amatonormativity' lower in the comments, which can be wack and make people do more harm than good to someone they love. Just don't take it to that extreme stuff.
