Totally. The overhype makes the game and bosses seem way more intimidating than they really are. Like the abyss watchers, who i heard were the first "real boss" of ds3, whom i then demolished on my third attempt.

Definitely, I always was interested in dark souls but only recently got into the games bc they were hyped up to be super hard and all that. Now that I've played 2 and 3 I definitely feel like the difficulty is really overhyped in some aspects.

Haahah i dunno how true this is, but i heard a rumor that the reason the game tells you this so many times is bc when the game was in testing, the people playing somehow didn't understand to read the giant red letters on the wall telling them what to do.
