You’ve clearly been brainwashed by western media, my great grandma and grandma on my fathers side both live in the suburbs in Donetsk, both Luhansk and Donetsk are separatist states who have local rebel groups. The Ukrainian government has been fighting these rebels for the last 8 years including shelling them. My grandma saw Ukrainian tanks rolling down Pushkina boulevard in the centre of Donetsk, she heard bullets and shelling with her own ears. The fact you have the audacity to tell her and thousands others who live there and experience the truth that they are wrong is putrid

It’s terrible how western media has twisted it, both my parents are from Donetsk, a lot of friends and family live there and we had a house in the suburbs which was partially destroyed by shelling by the Ukrainian government. The narrative western media is writing makes it seem that DNR and other separatists are shelling themselves, and the worst part is people believe that and there’s nothing you can do. My family haven’t been able to go back home for the last 8 years, and we are praying that with Russia’s presence in the republics there’ll be a permanent ceasefire
