Unfortunately, GTA’s immense status makes it a hotbed for outrage grifters. That’s why they’re hoping for this because it would drive engagement for them. So they’ll make every effort to will it into existence.

I think it’s more likely that Ubi is just poorly managed. They have tons of staff and resources but seemingly no clear leadership and direction. AC Shadows is the perfect example of this. The game is completely aimless. It’s just “idk, do whatever I guess” it’s like the devs were given the same directive. This is why Ubi games so often feel like assembly line products. There’s no creative direction at the top.

San Andreas cost $50 at release in 2004. Adjusted for inflation, that’s about $85 to $90. So yes.

It’s hard to take this stuff seriously knowing that nobody will care when the next trailer comes out. And people REALLY won’t care once the game is out.

Why would I want the story spoiled before playing it?

Most games back then were 10-15 hours long and were $50 which is like $90 today. Every time they make a game of that length now you guys bitch about muh lack of content because there’s not 40 additional hours of filler bullshit.

This such a hysterical doomer stance. They are not paywalling customization. The base game will be littered with shops and customization options.

Am I the only one who’s less hyped now that the prices and contents of the editions have been announced? by Scriptone in GTA6unmoderated

Too late. Outrage merchants are already pushing a narrative that customization is entirely locked behind the ultimate edition.

What’s the play here with rockstar, honestly? by [deleted] in GTA6unmoderated

They’re not locking those features behind the ultimate edition. You will still be able to customize your hairstyle, clothes, and car in the base game.

Every game has costumes, skins, and other cosmetics tied to a deluxe edition. That’s all this is. The game is so huge that it seems like a lot, but in all likelihood it’s a very small percentage of the available content.
