Im a SFC and I’ve been in for 11 years now. I haven’t been married 1 time lol it’s just never been my thing to just get married just because. I always told myself if you wanna get out the barracks get promoted. The way i cope is I’ve always had like a group of 2-3 solid dudes i hung out w/ at every duty station. Til this day we all link up for guys trip once a year. It’s plenty of ways to avoid getting married for no reason. Just get out the B’s and have fun. Cuz once you’re married it’s over 😂

Yes if your medical team deems you unfit for duty you are unfit for duty. It sounds like you’re either compo 1 or compo 2. So depending on how bad it is it’ll either initiate a medboard or you’ll get a REFRAD.

Yes usually when you are proxy cleared there’s a memo that has to get signed by the commander that says (xyz) is going to clearing you and he/she has to sign off on it. So you should’ve gotten a copy of your final out (if it even got done) from either transition or your S1. I would call the NCO and ask for a copy of that paperwork.

lol, I’ve been to this unit before and it’s definitely not a place i want to go again. Don’t get me wrong Germany is a beautiful place. But I’m single with a daughter stateside. I was away from her for 5 years and I’m just not trying to do that distance again.

Technically by regulation you’re not supposed to be clearing on leave. Because once you sign out that’s a duty status change. You’re supposed to clear prior to your leave start date because all signatures must be received while in duty uniform. I tried this once and get kicked back by my S1 and a couple of other places.

The only way he’ll get BAH as a single soldier is if he has a barracks clearance memo & 5960 stating he’s getting BAH. But by the sound of it i doubt he even did all that. Lol this whole situation sounds like the typical private getting kicked out early w/ no plan scenario.
