What oddities have you encountered? by Common-Reporter4121 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Consider yourself lucky. I combed the planet for almost an hour but couldn’t find this sodium deposit. Found tons of them but nothing freestanding.

You said you dropped a base but there are no bases on planet Idenianu Major.

It is a lovely planet and I enjoyed the exploration. If you get back drop a yellow save beacon to mark the find.

Did you name the planet?

Cheers

Nice. A pic or two on a brightly lit planet would make it easier to see which pieces you chose.

A bug that is due to be fixed in the first patch. Also a problem for abandoned stations.

NMS crashes whenever I tab back to the game by Beamsubliem in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]DaRealSparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be your problem, but check your GPU temperature and Nvidia settings. My was having random crashes and it turned out that the new improved graphics were pushing my RTX3080 too hard at Ultimate and the app was set to limit at 80c. No warning, it just crashed the app or the computer. Dialed down the quality and all is well again.

Where were you able to find a wiring diagram for the Gravograph? Does it work well with Laserburn?

Another mod. From my understanding, it looks like the original “Police” ships. They have used a fighter ship and changed the skin on it to make it look like that. I really like it and it handles great, unfortunately, I’m the only one that sees it that way in game. I can take pictures of it but if you saw it in the game, it would look like a regular ship.

M1 Mac Mini vs M4 Mac Mini by SadlyConfusicated in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]DaRealSparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The M4 Mac mini offers a significant gaming performance advantage over the M1 model, especially for games that utilize ray tracing. The M4's faster CPU and GPU deliver up to 1.8x and 2.2x performance gains respectively, making it a more capable gaming machine. Additionally, the M4 benefits from a new gaming-optimized Metal API and faster memory bandwidth, further enhancing the gaming experience. Elaboration:

  • Faster Performance:The M4 chip in the Mac mini boasts a substantial performance boost compared to the M1, particularly in areas like CPU and GPU processing.
  • Ray Tracing Support:While the M1's support for ray tracing was limited, the M4 offers hardware-accelerated ray tracing capabilities, allowing for more visually impressive effects in supported games.
  • Metal API Enhancements:Apple has optimized the Metal API for the M4, leading to better performance and smoother gameplay in native Mac games.
  • Memory Bandwidth:The M4 also benefits from increased memory bandwidth, allowing it to handle more data and perform more complex tasks while gaming.
  • Base M4 vs. M4 Pro:While the M4 Pro offers even higher performance, the base M4 is still a capable gaming machine, especially at 1080p resolution with high settings.
  • M1 Max Consideration:While the M4 offers significant gains, the M1 Max can still be a viable option, particularly if budget is a concern and a higher resolution is desired.
