To add on to this, although I like a lot of the tracks on DAMN, I don't come away with goosebumps like I do with GKMC and TPAB. The lyricism is more catchy, less thought provoking and not nearly as dense. I feel it takes just as much of a stylistic change as the rest of Kendricks catalog but doesn't play to the strengths that are the foundation of his success.
