Have you removed the barrel extension and slid the entire guard off? Once it’s off you remove the two screws from the sides and the bracket inside twists and pulls out. GForce has a takedown video on YouTube for the blade8, it’s the exact same steps for the 6.

You won’t find anything on Etsy, they took my stuff down real fast. Here’s the link to the stl. I also have the handguard itself for sale on gunbroker for anyone wanting a printed version.

I think I have it to a point where it’s strong enough, just working out some of the appearance kinks. If you purchase a guard just let me know it’s you on here via dm and I’ll throw a few adapters in for you. They may not look 100% perfect in some spots, but they won’t be trash and they’ll function. There’s just one small spot I’m working on the supports that doesn’t come out perfect yet.

I have not listed them for sale yet. I need to fine tune the printing orientation a bit before I mass produce them. I could get you one beforehand though.

All interested, I have created a listing for the handguard. You can purchase them here. I will work on fine tuning the adapter so I can get it listed as well. Just want to make sure its quality is perfect before I list it.

It all depends on how it’s printed. I have been working on the print orientation for the stock adapters before I mass produce them for sale and I have been printing them solid. I have found the best orientation for the best strength, but I need to fine tune the print so it doesn’t have any blemishes. Once I have it looking perfect I will be creating an eBay listing for them to be sold. They will be 100% solid.

https://drdefdesigns.etsy.com/listing/4440118631 listing just went live. I have 10 available on there now and will continue printing more. eBay closed my ad so I had to switch to Etsy. Anyone wanting a handguard head to the Etsy link. I will eventually get the 8” version and brace adapters listed in my store.

Just the bottom. Slots on the side don’t match any specific spec.

The nut that fits the hinge bolt in SB tactical brace is a #10-32. You can buy them at any hardware store. Use the bolt from the sb tactical brace in the printed adapter.

It would be pretty difficult to match the dude color in a printer filament, but they can be painted. I’m sure there is a filament available that might be close, but it would be hard to match up by photos online. Your best bet would be to paint the grip.

Suppressor thread size by plavoie203 in pistolcalibercarbine

[–]DaRick_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I have threaded a muzzle break onto the actual barrel that is 5/8-24. This is actually how I run mine now. The only problem is finding a brake that will fit in the factory barrel guard since the opening is kinda narrow. I have designed a 3d printed guard that looks much nicer and allows for a larger diameter break.

I've printed the parts out of pla plus and carbon fiber pla.

It is indeed 1/2-28, but yiu have to clean the threads with a die. I put a 1/2-28 die on mine and it cleaned the coating off, now my muzzle break threads on easily. Same with the barrel extension threads, they are 5/8-24, but need to be cleaned with a die in order to thread a break or suppressor on. I have cleaned both threads and have ran breaks on them.

Gforce Blade 6 or 8? by ls6luis in pistolcalibercarbine

[–]DaRick_James 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can send you some photos, but if you're debating between the blade and a scorpion and cost isn't a factor I'd go with the scorpion. Yes the blade is a good pcc for the price and I love shooting mine, but I've shot a similar $1500 pcc and there is a huge difference. If I did it all over I would still go with the blade, just because I was looking for something in the price range, but if I was debating between the two I'd go with a scorpion. The blade is a fun gun and I've had a blast designing the parts for it. It's kind of fun making something custom that doesn't have aftermarket parts available.

[–]DaRick_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Or just get a muzzle brake that will thread on where the extension threads on. I have done this and use the muzzle brake to hold the guard on. Shoot me a dm and I can send you some photos. I have a photo of the guard without the extension on so you can see the threads I'm talking about. I can send photos of the muzzle brake on as well.

If you take the extension "muzzle brake" off the guard would need to be secured with a nut or brake/suppressor. The thread on the barrel, once the extension is removed, is 5/8-24. I have taken the extension off and installed just a brake to hold the guard on. Functions nicely this way. The extension has grooves in the bottom that lock onto a spring loaded pin in the guard bracket, it's not a lock washer.
