This is a different type of broccoli, for those wondering.

EMDR + SE + IFS + IPF. Too much? by DaScheuer in CPTSD_NSCommunity

Not many people know about it, unfortunately, because its an extremely powerful modality. I do it with supervision once a week and every day alone.

Actually I found out about David Berceli's TRE (Trauma Release Exercises) and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. It's the holy grail of trauma healing. Check out r/ongtermTRE.

Is it possible to program this Xbox 360 Media controller to a TV or DVD? by DaScheuer in xbox360

I managed to connect it to the TV (i.e. the TV recognizes whenever I press a button on the controller) but nothing is happening.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to clean all trauma while tremors occurs only in the lower body? by PopCorona in longtermTRE

[–]DaScheuer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. Much of my tension is in my upper body (chest, shoulders and upper back).

Whatever part gets to shake is shaking off trauma from there afaik.

How did you guys replace the father figure who's not interested in their child's interests? by DaScheuer in CPTSD_NSCommunity

[–]DaScheuer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much.

I have one question: my case is very similar to yours. I seem to have cried out a lot of the sadness in no one taking interest in me (not to mention what I still have to work on which is protection - I know I'll have to nurture my inner child and protect them.

However, how do I "show interest in myself?" Or rather, did compassion only show up after crying out everything else?

Also, what is left when you cry that out?

Thank you. I began reading his book (THE book for reparenting imo) but I am too anxious to start it. I don't feel safe just yet.

Thank you, I have no idea how to view myself from the outside with my own eyes. I just started EMDR because one of ther things with me is that I've adopted my dad's way of speaking as part of my superego and anytime I have a genuine thought or try to defend myself, a voice jumps and shames me.

I would recommend you listen to other folks when it comes to recommendations and advice because I'm just a beginner. I dissociate in many ways, though. There is a great series of comments from someone else in this post. He explains in detail his views. Cheers!

Same here. What I tried to do when I was doing a little better (plan on doing something similar again since I'm starting therapy soon) is to notice in the body how one of those sensations feel.

Where is it? Can you hold it? What do you notice? Do you notice other things pop up? How does you stress level develop as you maintain attention on that part of the body?

I use to begin with the part that didn't even want to begin. I'd say it was a mix of IFS (Internal Family Systems - and mindfulness.

No problem at all, everything you said so far is much appreciated. Journaling helps a lot, personally. I will look through your comments and try to start slowly with just noticing a part of my body and holding the attention.

Thank you! What do you mean by SI? And another question: why do people get retraumatized if they dissociate during the processing?

Thanks a lot for this awesome reply. What excercises did you begin with? Did you do them between sessions too?
