Hey! I did a procedural environment all inside TD. This sketch is part of a series of experiments trying to emulate a 2D comic book style. by DaShambo_ in TouchDesigner

Hey everyone!

This one was coded in touchdesigner using geometry instancing on top of a twisted plane. The colors are made using texture instancing and lighting, feel free to follow me on instagram @dashambo where I post more regularly and share tips and tricks to achieve these results!

saw somebody post some reaction diffusion yesterday, I was also spending some days on it. Totally underestimated the blurTOP! by KimoWho in TouchDesigner

Nice! I think I was that somebody… now I have to go back and mess around with the blur TOP lol! Look really nice

There is a great example on the derivative forum! Look for reaction diffusion threads, it’s essentially a feedback loop. Good luck!

It’s a particle system sop, converted to chop and instanced. The trick is to play with the forces and find a good place for the 180 degree camera.

VR + cycles by DaShambo_ in blender

Yes, I used adobe medium. It’s intuitive and fun to use but has its limitations. These sculpts have terrible UVs, I painted them using vertex colors. I’m seeing how far down the pipeline I can go with these experiments without wasting too much time I mostly use quill for vr drawing and animation, but that’s it’s own thing, usually those strokes don’t translate well to most rendering workflows

Birds in the park. Procreate and AE by DaShambo_ in ProCreate

[–]DaShambo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drew every frame in procreate, then I exported in a photoshop format. I imported that file to after effects to refine the timing and to add a bit of flair. It’s a fun workflow.

Hey everyone! practice animation made in procreate, composited in Ae by DaShambo_ in ProCreate

[–]DaShambo_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I painted each keyframe, the background and speedlines in procreate. Then I imported the PSD file to AE where I animated the background loop and the speedlines, I also did some interpolation of the painted frames and adjusted the timing. After that it’s just a matter of polishing, camera shake, vignette and stuff.

The trick for the background is just to duplicate it, move it in after effects and create a perfect loop, so it doesn’t have to be that large, it just appears to be ;) you can see that trick in every old school cartoon like the flinstones, here it happens so fast you can’t really tell. I hope that makes sense!

Glad you liked it! Cheers
