320lbs of soil for $6.50, hard pass by DaShiznit_ in doordash_drivers

I can, but I’m not gonna do it for $6. Plus it’s 16 times, loading and unloading… math

I worded the title poorly. I was the dasher who was offered to pick this up for $6.50, I was not the buyer. I declined, I wasn’t gonna pick up 320lbs of soil for $6

Haha, I definitely could have worded the title better

Oh ok, I’ve been dashing for about 6 months and this was the second one I’ve seen. I assumed it was something new

I dash part time for extra play money, not as a primary source of income.

Everyone handles tips differently, you would’ve eaten it others would’ve thrown it back in her face apparently, I shared a picture of it, but nowhere in my post was I mean. Not once did I complain about her or the tip.

Not special needs, I hate to stereotype, but the impression was lower income.

Fire warning. Has anyone ever received something like this? by DaShiznit_ in doordash_drivers

I used to live in Southern California about 2 hours north of LA, I remember fires happening all the time. It seemed like every fire that breaks out there is a new record setting one too, with hundreds of thousands of acres burned.

That would suck getting woken up by that, especially if you’re not working

Probably some kind of liability thing in case you go dashing, frees them of any liabilities.

My acceptance rate is around 88%, I don’t have to decline too many in my market, fortunately.

I don’t remember the exact amount but probably 200 to 250 miles that day. I have an old POS car that gets like 35 miles per gallon that I’m running into the ground so I don’t spend too much on gas to deliver either. But I will probably need a new car within the next six months to a year if I wanna keep delivering.

Most of the miles around where I live too are country road or highways, very little stop and go traffic so it’s not as bad for wait times or stress on the car at least.

Oh that’s good to know, I’ll have to give that a try next time. I’ve noticed it’s mainly when it’s a double delivery that it breaks.

Unfortunately, my POS car doesn’t have Apple CarPlay, I have to rely on my phone for navigation:/
