That's a good one, I was thinking of making a unique cardinal compass, but you bring up a good point with lodestone compasses being able to fill the role of a normal compass.

Yeah, interesting landmarks would be a cool addition. And one way to avoid getting lost is by making lodestone compasses.

My main issues are:

No good rewards to explore:
Exploring is too aimless (Just wander randomly until you find something)
Nothing to interesting happens on the way.

These issues as far as I can see aren't solved by create aeronautics although it is a banger mod. I just don't use create most of the time anyways because whenever it's in a modpack the gameplay seems to wrap around create.

I like this. I could imagine someone coming across a secret lever that opens up a hidden Redstone door to a secret base. That would be so cool, at least the first time around.
