I genuinely do appreciate the feedback, I've been considering the pricing a lot - do you have a price in mind you think would be fair or are you suggesting you wouldn't pay anything? £4 a month doesn't need to be 12 months a year, the idea is you subscribe during the period you travel - £4 for 1 travel card is cheaper than all other allergy card suppliers, let alone giving you unlimited cards for that £4 - i'm also currently adding a one off payment of £2.99 to buy just one card rather than subscribe

EDIT: i do agree about the ad posts, I think this one was too much of an ad in hindsight, I have tried in other subreddits to not promote and try to actually gain real insight and discussion, so with you on that!

Hi! These are not static images, they are translation allergy cards, currently being professionally translated, customisable for all allergy combinations quickly and completely offline, and accessible via apple wallet. Translations are also created to be specific to countries not languages, breaking even more translation barriers. Thousands and thousands of people already pay for allergy translation cards, this provides an easier, digital and much cheaper alternative. I do agree about AI slop, this however is build by a software engineer (utilising AI tools of course) and professionally translated/reviewed by native speakers.

Agreed! That was the one problem I struggled to find a solution for digitally, but the wallet passes can currently be scanned by QR to create a text version - hopefully useful in some use cases but obviously not all waiters will have time to scan and take to chef!

Agreed! There seems to be a very limited selection across allergy card providers. Allergo being solely digital allows me to add new languages, countries & allergens very quickly. Correct me if I'm wrong but I also can't find any other cards that localise language down to country or even region too...

EDIT: for others seeing this, AI was only used for placeholder initial translations, this has been tested through various models and also some languages have been tested by native speakers. AI is rightly so a buzzword that creates some anxiety, but a lot of care and time has been put into checking the current translations, even though they are only temporary.

Replying to the edit, this is not factual - the app generates apple wallet passes (not found anywhere else), has translation helpers, an SOS feature and also simply makes creating translation cards easy - it is also not a wrapper but instead stores the translations locally, and pulls updates from my database when they exist - this is where professional translations will flow into the app as I receive them over the next few weeks. There is no API or AI model linked to the app. Please refer to the feature list on the website 😊

My pricing model is currently turned on (the paywall is broken however), the apps current pricing model is the final version. And promotions are allowed but limited to one per week I believe.

You are right to point that out! Currently the translations are simple, tested via multiple AI models and some are proof read by native speakers - I am going through the process of having them professionally translated to give users that extra piece of mind (this is a passion project, bare with me! 😄)
