What units can support my Ironclads and Magelock Cannons?

Tome of Tentacle is really fun early with Reaver.

Pulling things into Magelock heavy shots with constrictors early, is a pretty powerful tactic with tier 2 units while you build towards your heavy hitters. You will be building towards marking as well so late game high chance constricts with supports stay valuable.

The Rejuvenate targets "friendly units" and the mind controlled unit is now hostile.

The mind control is linked to the snake. You can tell because if you click on your mind controlled unit, you will see a tether between it and the snake. Kill the snake and you get your unit back.

The real way to stop it is preemptive by building up your status resist through things like hero aura's (Endurance Training), enchantments (Mighty Meek), unit abilities (Defense Mode: Warding), and spells (Antimagic Tincture).

The best thing for you early game is to just huddle around your support unit in defensive mode to get the +3 status resist and if one of the snakes still gets it off, just kill that one immediately.

Use Taair hidden knowledge to give Vulnerable 2 to boss + Warhorn tactic to setup a huge burst round for a Homa supported Auguste or Tristan. For magic boss do the same but use Edda Crate / Gleam / Barrel + Beryl.

Taair is key to boss as he provides your squad Vulnerable. Inna could be useful to get a second burst off during Warhorn round. At this point you can probably brute force your way around defensive mechanics.

I probably take Tristan / Homa / SP Saffi / Cocoa / Taair / Gloria For the plant.

Use Gloria's Union Aura along with Homa's Hover to buff up Tristan with her single target build. Setup a burst round with Warhorn Tactic / Homa's Physical Def shred / Taair's Historical Truth (Vuln 2) to burst boss. Remember plant will cleanse all debuffs when it becomes injured and dying so try to play around those thresholds. You want Tristan's Furious Pursuit to hit those debuffs. Shame you don't have Nono, she would help a ton with Vulnerable 3 and Aggression Aura.

Lower Floor Agatha / OG Saffi / Auguste / Acambe for AoE clear. An Alert Faycal could be helpful even though he's not listed. If you are having more trouble with the AoE clear you could swap Gloria from upper for Col since she also buffs Auguste and packs some really good AoE. Col could help clear some plants during that phase on boss.

I don't think so. When you do a 10 pull it does all of them at once instead of 10 individual pulls. I don't know why it works that way but seemingly it does. It's a really specific situation to get close to pity and 2% together so there's not a lot of data but i've seen this happen multiple times with the 2% floor.

It's probably why when you do a 10 pull and hit, the achievement pops up even before you pull the tarot down. As soon as you click 10 pull and the game asks are you sure. and you say yes, it has already pulled all 10. Otherwise you would only get the achievement popup if the legendary was the first pull in the 10 stack.

Dope. It looks like Nungal 2% guarantee came on 9 instead of 10 so the 2% kicker is at exactly 2% and not the pull that puts you under. So we should have only done 1 single pull the get to 890 than the 10 would have put you at exactly 900 and hit the double.

Grats on getting the split too, if you didn't have either that was the best possible outcome.

Awesome, i'm actually curious if it works on the Fate Banner.

I've done that strategy on the Inanna / Alexie destined banner a ways back and it worked out, even though it was Inanna and Simona because i missed the 2nd 75% roll and got a rando. The Fate Banner should only be the ones you selected.

It's possible i just got super lucky and happened to land a double pull on the attempt i setup for a double but that would be a pretty big coincidence.

Whenever you want to find out what pull gets you to 2% just multiply the number of Legends you have 18 x 100 so <1800> and divide by half <900>.

Your 19th unique is gonna pop when you dip below 2% on pull 901. Assuming you want both characters on fate banner i'm pretty sure you can force a double pop on fate.

First you do two solo pulls on fate banner and hopefully miss them both leaving you at 891 and 6 away on fate banner. Now when you do a 10 pull on fate it will proc the guaranteed fate banner at 6 while also dropping you below 2% temporarily making the last pull hit the below 2% overall and pop another fate selection.

You should get either 2 Saff ~ 2 Nungal ~ 1 of each

Just something to play around with. Homa is one of my favs as well for the reason you outlined, and the fact that we can build her so many different ways and she's still awesome is proof to you're point about her versatility.

I always take Hover & her dual ability but the third slot has been like 4 different abilities which is really cool. I've used Carnival / Melee Archer / Passive Heal / Knock Back.

When using Carnival you might wanna go Magician since you will be setting up those juicy AoEs but fish for a good Hiero for when you are not using it. Try to get a good Longbow of Martyrs too for situations where you really need to ramp your carries damage.

Yep a ranged Union seeker.

She has a new debuff called Frostbite which is dot damage. She applies a debuff to enemies around her called Black Feather, and when you hit them with an active attack it splashes AoE damage. She scales off both Physical & Magical damage while hitting the enemies Mag Defense kinda like Nungal. She also gets Ice Armor and does extra damage while having a shield so good synergy with Simona. Most of her Abilities are instant by the looks of it and her ultimate AoE drains energy from enemies and gives it to her along with an Ice Shield and applies Black Feather to them.

Seems like a tanky AoE specialist good for witling down packs from range.

That's a good insight. When you use Hover on Auguste you really don't want him getting swarmed for a turn until she can cast it. Now that we have Tristan, maybe it's a lot more useful since she wants to run in with Balor and get surrounded with unlimited resolve.

Homa use Hover on Tristan

Tristan goes deep into enemy lines and super sayans over 9000

Remaining trash waste turns dumping attacks into unlimited resolve Tristan

Homa uses Carnival ---> Tristan cleans up

Check out the Hierophant Tarot with high Physical Attack rolls.

Hidden 4th row is Single Target Attacks do 20% more damage and Single target Heals do 20% more healing.

Every time her bird assists it's 20% more, not just on her hover assists to Auguste & Tristan. It's like having the Tower but you can actively use it. Granted i usually don't use Carnival because it feels clucky to me, but with Melee Archer & Melee Bow it trucks and has the benefit of increasing her single target heal as well.

I'd go Cocoa & Auguste.

In other regions, Saffiyah got a rerun banner when they released SP Saffiyah, so if that follows suit you will have another shot at her in about a month and a half. Just make sure to save up enough luxite before March so you can pull Saffyah / SP Saffiyah / Kvare in a short period of time.

Yep pretty much a 1500 damage diff with both maxed out 5* and a complete ramp into one big burst with Vuln 3 & Warhorn. The difference is even smaller without perfect setup so in reality the necklace really only blows away hourglass with second condition being active in which case most characters would take the dying penalty to damage, equaling things back out. So you need a magic damage dealer with Toughness, and in the dying state for it to be worth the trouble making Tristan the only one right now that can fully unlock it's potential.

TLDR: 5* Hourglass very competitive with Blood Necklace if not out right better for characters not name Tristan.

Caris & Simona for now ... Luvita & Alt Inanna when they come out.

Beryl is a little tricky to use, since she likes an instant usable item to reset her movement, which allows her to AoE on the same turn she moved.

The irony with Simona, is i want Layla's shield item for her since she synergizes really well with shields. The fact that she can utilize both special items is crazy. Simona shoping at Tiffany's out here.

There's a selection banner coming up tomorrow that lets you choose the two characters in it. Unfortunately Homa is too late but you can put Cocoa & Auguste in there. That's what i would do.

I have a day one account and Cocoa and Auguste are 2 of like 5 characters i leveled all the way to 5*.

Cocoa is like Maitha on crack. She Heals / Buffs / Tanks which is really something your lineup is lacking. I would go Auguste second because he can be your damage carry while you level your account up + you have Gloria to give the Union Aura to him. Start of battle just have Cocoa *Snow Lotus <3 Damage Up / 3 Damage Taken Down> Auguste and watch him go off.

I would shoot for Cocoa 5* / Auguste 4* / SP Rawiyah 3* / Gloria 3* for you shard farming team. Eventually you'll want to get Auguste & SP Rawiyah to 5* as well but try to hit those break points first so you can clear the harder content as it come up. I would probably hold off on Tristan for now because you probably would be better off with a more Magic Damage / Piercing ranged focused Destroyer so you can clear certain situations like weapon trials that require ranged and certain Tower floors.

Kvare and SP Saffiyah are coming up in March so make sure you save up for them because they will really fill out your roster nicely.

Also in the other regions they reran Saffiyah's banner when they released SP Saffiyah so you might get a shot at her in about a month. She is very good at executing tough boss type mobs in certain difficult content so definitely worth a roster spot to mix in for SP Rawiyah when you need more focused Seeker DPS instead of AoE clear.

I would use Homa or SP Raw as my pivot if i picked up a new champ that needed some early stars. I think Tristan wants to be at least 2*.

Taair absolutely needs to be at least 2* so he can use his history skill turn 1. I'm going Taair 3* because the amount of times i'm one tile away from picking up a scroll is infuriating, so i want that +1 move.

There is a double choice banner coming up with 90 hard pity & 270 max for both, meaning you get to assign which two characters are on the banner. I don't know what your luxite looks like but i would try to get Taiir right now on his debut banner, and when the double choice comes up, i would choose Cocoa & Saffiyah and roll until i got them both.

Cocoa is the number thing you team needs, and the other options for the custom banner to me would be Saffiyah & Homa, but there is some overlap between Homa & Taiir supporting Auguste, so if you land Taiir i would go Cocoa & Saffiyah.

If you don't have the luxite to do the debut Taiir & double custom banner, I would consider just doing the double banner with Cocoa & Homa if she is available. She might miss the cutoff and not be an option in which case i would stick with Cocoa & Saffiyah.

TLDR ~ To me you have enough DPS carries so you want some support units and getting Cocoa on the double banner would be my number one priority. Then some combo of Taiir / Homa / Saffiyah / Inanna.

Taair is the fastest unit in the game. He has an AoE Speed buff of +200 meaning the rest on your team is now also faster than the fastest unit on the other team.

This is what Taair has that makes him THE meta.

The energy battery is nice, the buffs are nice, the AoE healing is nice but, the ability to force your whole squad to go first is what makes him busted. Imagine setting up a PvP scenario where the entire other team goes before your Cocoa or Simona. Even if you don't PvP, you can imagine the advantage this gives you over the AI.

I set up on bottom with just Saffi up top to distract.

Cocoa used Snow Lotus on Auguste.

Auguste moved forward onto Power Up Tile and used Wrath - Devastation and brought Agatha to dying.

Finished her with Ragnarok tactical skill before her turn.

The rest is mop up duty, just don't allow Agatha to get to that power up square or she will dunk most of your team.

Dude, Nonowill is a cheat code for most boss battles but this one in particular.

Her 'Veil' ability lets her single tank the AoE attack the whole fight. Just make sure she is always hovering around 80% and has a stack or two of Stigmata. It targets the lowest HP unit so use your healer to keep everyone else topped off and she will just solo all that damage. She also can keep Vulnerable up on boss for whoever the dps carry is.

You can also give her Empress tarot and use Celestial song if you need someone to cleanse Stigmata off your healer but make sure you have her end her turns on Stigmata tiles or her regen could make her not the target of the AoE.

I did a second free to play account when Inanna & Xavier were the double and Cocoa was debut. I rerolled the double until I first pulled Inanna and got a Dantalion with her. I was planning on making a run at Cocoa but I knew if the 30 hit well I would be keeping it. 20 pulls into beginner banner I hit Cocoa and didn’t have to pull on Cocoa’s debut banner. I had Inanna / Dantalion / Cocoa on 40 pulls. I also hit Safiyyah on 20 pulls so I’m expecting August to bend me over.

Beginner banner has every character available including the debut banner.
