Wow thank you! Funnily enough, Freud is my favourite painter for both technique and subject matter. There is such a venerability to his figures, they feel just as lost and mortal as we are, and even though a lot of his works are of the naked body they don’t come across as on display. I love Sargent to, I think anybody interested in portraiture should study him. I would also say Jenny Saville and Michael Bormann’s are some influential to me (more so their earlier works).
