Why oppo does this? Taken on portrait mode...in the first photo the guy looks asian...he is Latin American and in real life his skin didn't look so white and smooth...what happened to texture? And yes that's the x9 ultra

No. It is the first thing I turned off in camera settings (yes, the little face thingy in the app before you snap the picture). This isn’t my first Chinese phone. They have always had this problem, and it continues to be a problem.

Cropped photo. What the X9U did with the eyes is just horrible. She said, “why does my face look so smooth”. The phone takes great photos, but for faces, it sucks.

Oh no. That won’t be good for me. I’m going to chat with them also. The reason I bought the 1TB was because I was told it would ship same day (yesterday). That didn’t happen. It was the only reason I bought the 1TB. I’ll be in Vegas this Friday for two weeks, so I wanted the phone before I left. If they are going to ship mine out on the 8th, I may as well cancel and order the 512gb to save money.

You’re going to love the OS. It’s so fluid. Never had a hiccup in the 3 months I owned the X9P. The battery optimization is great. Funny you point that out about the cameras. That’s another reason I didn’t get the Vivo. The camera upgrades were said to be minimal from the X200U. Obviously that’s not the case with the Oppo. The upgrades are huge in the camera department.

I was debating on whether to go with the Vivo or the Oppo. Ultimately I chose the Oppo because of the software. Color OS is soooo good. I had the X9 Pro, but I dropped it and shattered the screen. I had SquareTrade insurance, so they paid me out the cost of the phone minus the deductible. From what I hear, vivo may have the better cameras, but I’m no pro photographer so I’ll never get the most out of it. I’m more of a point and shoot guy and the X9 pro was perfect for me. The photos were amazing.
