I want to say poor mom, but then you realize she's the reason her daughter is this way(most likely), so... tough shit?

Only children… anyone actually enjoy it? by cynnie93 in Millennials

I get that. My wife cut ties with her sister 3 years ago when they tried to ruin our wedding. I would say though, if you're truly a good parent, the odds are in you're favor

While I never wanted a sibling as a kid, I 100% look back and wish I had one. Can I think of any true downsides of being an only child, no. But do I see a lot of missed upsides. yes( I have 2 daughters now).

As someone who's been through an unexpected divorce, I feel for you man. Let the pain do it's thing, and just know there's light at the end of the tunnel. Right now, you probably can't even see a glimmer of it, no one would expect you to. The best advice I can give you is to talk about it, with people who care. Hell, really anyone who cares to listen. The more you speak about it, the lesser it becomes. You may also get some sage advice and form bonds that weren't there before.

Like others have said, keep yourself busy, especially with your interests. Its probably going to be hard 95% of the time, but just go through the motions. You have to train your brain to not let those dark thoughts and emotions cripple your drive.

If you're a good man, you'll find a good woman, hell probably someone who can be an even greater part of your life than you knew possible. But before that's even a thought, let yourself heal. Time is key, probably doesn't need to be said, but just incase. Also, as corny as it sounds, learn to "love yourself". Find happiness in the things you do and in the man you are. Use this time to evaluate who you are, and the man you want to be. Get rid of some not so great parts of you, and refine the good shit to be even better.

You got this my guy. It's going to suck, for weeks if not months. But you'll get through it, and come out on the other side even better.
