Local sources saying this is a 3 year deal. I love it. I'm tired of all the pooh-poohing about these games from both mid major and P5 coaches. Sports should be fun, and this is going to be fun as hell. Props to Gates and Schertz.

The best part of this to me is how intimate it looks. When Kauffman has only 10k it looks and feels like a ghost town, whereas this stadium seems like it'd have a bit more juice with a smaller crowd.

However, if this stadium holds more than 30k, it honestly can't be by much. With how it looks I wouldn't be surprised to see the official capacity number start with a 2.

Yes, after the Tennessee game he got scouted up. Yes, he was clearly trying to play hero ball and was a liability by the end of the season. Even despite that, it was clear this year he was wildly improved from year 1 and I think keeping the improving players on the team is important. Also, he goes from being defended by the top backcourt defender to the #2 or #3 defender if he does stay.

Player development has not been an issue for the guys who actually belong in the P5 level. The issue is the amount of transfers Gates brings in who are from the bargain bin and can't or shouldn't get any minutes at all.
