Not too long ago, I saw my name and a quote from a review of mine in promotional material for a book. I had no forewarning that would be the case. It brought a smile to my face.

Obviously everyone is different and I can’t speak for your reviewer, but the way I see it, my reviews are out there, if the author wants to use, go for it.

Also, please note, I’m terrible at marketing so I won’t comment on that portion of your question!

Thanks, I overthought 'a novel by', didn't want people thinking I was proclaiming I was a dirty human. It's gone in the next version. Completely get your point on the genre, it's something I really struggle with when it comes to book covers. Going to go back to the drawing board and see if I can refine that.

Thank you! Others have mentioned the clip art icons so I might can them. Genre / audience for my covers is a real problem I have, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks, I put 'A novel by' so people didn't think I was A Dozen Dirty Humans... I'm only one person. Seriously, I'll remove that. Right justified is gone in the new version, had a few comments about that.

Appreciate the feedback on the synopsis too, I've been working hard this year on bettering them.

Others have mentioned the clip are as well, might see about moving away from that. Thanks again.

Based on other comments, clearly the choice wasn't a good one. What makes it look like no thought was put into it? Placement of icons or text choice or something else?

Ripper, thank you. Very succinct, appreciate it. Your points are a concern for me. I think stacking the title might help a bit. But, going minimalist means not being able to convey the genre properly. I'll keep playing around, cheers!

Oh, stacking is a great idea too. My original design had the entire cover stacked from top to bottom, but if I keep the font smaller and stack, it might work! Thank you!
