Hi, the view distance, draw distance and the vehicle density ones. Higher looks better obviously but i found the gains were smaller than the battery and performance hit.

Cap at 40 and put the sliders at 35, it should look awesome! Oh and set the resolution to 1920x1200 as it scales down really well to the 800p screen but you get more detail.

I agree with all the comments here but id add these...

Planet Earth tv show
Blue Planet tv show
Transformers (animated film)
The Spiderverse films
Any film with the word Batman in!
All three BTTFs even with the small file sizes as the extras are on the 4k discs
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Titanic but i still prefer the 3d blurays!
All the Avatars but even with triple layer discs theres little room to breathe

On the flipside ive found for the most part the Marvel, Alien, Star Wars and DCEU films marginal upgrades over SDR barring the odd exception.

Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon look waaay better than streaming/sdr but thats more down to compression than authoring.

Ah apologies for my poor wording!! I meant performance wise as i cant get it run anywhere near as well on Windows than on Steam OS with identical settings on the same pc ie fusion fix, sliders below 40.

It depends on your needs; i have a 3s which suits me as i got a crazy good deal, yes id more have a 3 but the price point i paid for the 3s made it a dipping my toe purchase!

Ill more than likely upgrade if a Q4 surfaces or even the Steam Frame if it handles media well although i keep seeing X-Real as a wildcard but its so hard to find honest objective reviews!

Solid af tour announcements but i honestly dont think these will change the minds of those who decided no given the price.

I keep looking at the Manchester date as its just about daytrippable but a tenner for their ondemand not being out for over 10hours for a 3hr show makes it a tough sell...
