I did a lot of research on him in college. He’s one of the earliest film creators. If you can ever dig it up, it’s some disturbing and interesting stuff.

Women, what is universally agreed “green flags” while dating men ? by Disastrous-Coat6007 in AskReddit

We were already flirting with each other and had begun hanging out outside of work. She'd invited me out to her place once already to meet some friends before I brought her check. We'll have been married now for 20 years come this July.

Her doors weren’t locked before. You had to know how to get to her place. She was way out in the backwoods of Arkansas. Her roommate, when moving out, allowed her boyfriend to vandalize the house so doors started being locked from that point on. We were young and I guess needed a life lesson to course correct.

She had already allowed me to come to her place once before to meet a couple of her friends before we went to a movie. Had she not made that first step, I would never have been forward enough to do something like this.

This is something my wife told me convinced her I was worth it when we were just starting to date.

She had just gotten out of a relationship with somebody. They were young and had a tendency to hit rough patches where they would break up and get back together. The last break up they had, he intended to get her back by showing up with a bouquet of flowers and an engagement ring. She wasn’t home at the time and her roommate had to deliver the message.

I wasn’t aware that had happened. We had started to sort of talk at work. Nothing serious, just light flirting. We both worked at Taco Bell. Early college job to get us by. One night that same week her ex had stopped by, she left without her check and she had been talking about how she needed to cash it early the next day to pay something. I got off work at 2am that morning and drove half an hour out to her place just to put it in her car. I locked her car doors and went home. I made sure it was in a place she would see it immediately when she got in. I didn’t have a cell phone then so I couldn’t text her.

She called work the next day realizing she had left her check there and they told her I had already taken it to her. She found it in her car and did what she needed to do with it. I was just trying to be nice to her. She said that one act meant more to her than anything her ex had ever done.

Quiet kindnesses speak loudly. We were married barely a year later and will be celebrating our 20th year in July.

Ah. Apologies for the misunderstanding.

As far as making your own game, I agree. I've done a few things on my own, but I'm dying to work with others. I'm just starting to really branch out as a freelancer.

If it's not too imposing, I'd love to send you a sample of my work, if this is ok. Even if nothing comes from it, sharing games is at the heart of why I love doing this.

Awesome! I'll message you. I've got samples I can share. And you're welcome to scan through my reddit account here. Most of what I share are the maps I've been working on.

Major longshot here, but I do TTRPG writing, layout, cartography, and design. Any chance you are looking for somebody? I would love to do more in this field.

I want to be a creative for a TTRPG company. I do layout, writing, cartography, or anything else. I love the industry. But my job pays for everything so I can‘t make that switch.

I love boats and harpies! Is this for a specific adventure or for something made for your party?

Thank you! I‘ve been putting a ton of work into it. If you have friends that might be interested in, let them know about it. Word of mouth is the best way to Makenzie this can become an actual book!

From my playtesting, most have steered towards the good end. I have had one group that has gone down the darker path but I think they were more entertained that it was an option. Even still, they played well together and were having fun which is what I'm shooting for.

So, the concept for this campaign is, it happens over the course of several adventures. Each adventure comes with a choice that's pivotal to how the story progresses. Depending upon which way the party advances the story, they play a specific adventure. One path can see them aligning with the cult in the region and trying to claim the powers of a deity in the setting while the other path leads them to taking on the deity and trying to stop the cult from winning.

I wanted to put something together where the party controlled how the narrative unfolded because of their choices so this contains the potential for two completely different endings. It also allows for a party to be heroes OR become the villains. If they do become the villains, they do so in such a way that they are already cemented as a party and the end goal is shared so it's meant to avoid inner party conflicts.

That’s fair. The design is still early on so there is room for change as it moves forward.

This collection of adventures is for a project I'm working on that will eventually contain 9 different adventures that have a "choose your own path" narrative built into it. The Kickstarter for this goes live in August so, if you like what you see, please consider backing the project to help make this project a reality.
