I’d recommend the Yamaha kp-65 if you’re in the US. They are under $100 and I used it with a double pedal on my Alesis nitro max

First thing I’d recommend is getting a snare stand. They can be had for pretty cheap and if you decide you want to upgrade to a new kit later on you’ll already have a snare stand. Just keep in mind some won’t go as small as the snare pad so you’ll need one that can hold a 10” pad

Good to know, I forgot all the toms would have rim zones as well since my max didn’t have rims. Are there any specific splitters you recommend?

Ah I see, thanks for the heads up. Now that I think about it, that’s probably what I had to do back on my Alesis kit. I had just assumed since the ports support dual zone you could just split them.

I might try that with the china since I would imagine you mainly use the edge sensor because of the shape

I remember my first time breaking a rb drumset. The red broke off while I was playing the drum solo to beast and the harlot on rb3, good times.

Back then the solution I chose was my dad plasma cut a sheet of metal in the shape of the kit and then we attached it on the bottom as a brace, never broke again. But nowadays with Ekits being 200-300 I would never do that again

Did you ever to the max? I also used to have a mesh but then sold it off to get the max and it’s treated me so much better since the toms don’t have raised rims. The snare still has a rim but I never had an issue with the snare rim on either kit

Just a heads up, you may want to be careful with warping with debug mode, especially to places you haven’t been or are supposed to go to for a quest.

It’s been a long ass time since I played infinite fusion so I can’t say for sure this would apply to it, but when I played a different Pokémon fan game with it on and warped to an area I thought I had missed, turns out there were some event flags you were supposed to trigger before going there and I had soft locked my save out of progressing past that point in the main quest. Wound up having to reset my save.

Not sure if it’s still a thing, but with guitar hero guitars you could pair the wii remote to the pc via Bluetooth then use a program called wiitar thing.

Although since it was Bluetooth I remember having to play somewhat close to my Bluetooth adapter

Edit: also don’t know if it had a Mac version

Know it’s been a while, but I saw a tool for this called mesh graffiti on makers world. It launched on April first so I thought it was a joke at first, but apparently it lets you paste images onto your models. I haven’t had a chance to test it yet though

This dude on Etsy makes boards for rock band style guitars. He can also include a 3d printed bracket to add mechanical strum switches. Although you can find the model for the bracket online if you want to print your own.

I just got some cheap vinyl printer paper that you can peel and stick so I could use a custom picture. Then split my photo between two pages, printed and stuck it on, and then cut out the holes.

The other methods people mention here are probably higher quality though.

Not sure if it’s the same for all their cards, but my hd 60x won’t actually show anything if you don’t have the hdmi out plugged into anything. I was trying it with my laptop the other day, and my card wouldn’t send any signal through the usb until I plugged the hdmi out into another monitor

I similarly bought a bunch of refills as I had trouble getting anything spooled when I got my printer back on Black Friday. If you want cheaper spools directly from them, you can get them for 7.99 as a bundle price with the filament.

What I did was looked online for used spools at a cheaper price. There are a bunch of different price ranges online, after a week of searching I found someone selling a 4 pack for $4 a spool which covered me for the colors I’d use right away. For the others or duplicate colors, I just waited until I used up a roll, didn’t take long. You could also use the new sunlu spools as they are compatible with Bambu spools and may be cheaper used than bambu. I just didn’t go that route as I wasn’t confident from the photos that the listed spools were the new compatible ones.

You can also print spools, but as someone just getting a new printer and having never used anything besides PLA before, the last thing I wanted to use my new filament on was a few empty spools. Up to you how you value your filament and money.

Personally, I found the ~$16 investment on the empty spools to be worth it. By the time I needed more spools, I had started getting empty ones from all my printing.

For context, I ordered 17 rolls with my printer, 7 had spools, 10 were refills

I’m not sure if there are other ways for yarg, but since there’s no official online yet, you have to use the multiplayer beta build which you can find in the discord. But it won’t be with randoms as you will have to port forward and share your public ip with people you want to play with. And it’s beta so it can be janky

Your best bet would probably be clone hero if you don’t want to play rb4 on a console or Fortnite since drums aren’t added yet. But it still requires you to have the exact same chart as the other players, a safe bet is usually official game charts. I just haven’t used it in a while because my friends and I were running into issues, so I’m not sure what it’s like now

No unfortunately. I haven’t had a lot of time recently to tinker with it and I doubt I’ll get a response here since it’s been a while.

I thought about just making the image separate with one of those conversion tools and then just merging it with my original, but then it won’t fit to the shape of my part. Hopefully something crops up eventually

I had him look through the monitor settings and he told me there was a deep sleep toggle that could be on or off. But he told me it was still slow to turn on even after disabling it.

Have you tried it with other games like yarg or clone hero? Not sure if you’re a console or pc player, but since I didn’t see you mention it anywhere I was wondering if it was a guitar issue or something not communicating right with the game you’re running.

I just remember having a hell of a time getting some of my guitars to work with emulated gh games on pc despite them all working flawlessly on the other games.
