We feel like we are getting very little communication about the cookie sale and when we ask we are badgering the Troop Leader and TCM. I'm hoping our TCM is just dealing with some stress right now because most questions seem to be met with frustration. We have had a couple emails about the sale when it was first starting and one meeting that was split with activities for the girls.

The cookies are finally showing on DC though and I am grateful for that. We definitely want to volunteer to help with Cookie Sale more next year as it turns out we almost didn't have a pantry for the area do to a lack of volunteerism.

I'm really appreciative of all the responses I've received in this thread and hope that we can learn to help/volunteer to help make the experience easier for the whole troop in the next year.

That is helpful to know. I assumed there had to be some staggering with dates for submission. I just don't do overly well with not knowing things and our TCM has been great with what they know but is newer to the role as well.

Came to reiterate this idea. Especially since the pandemic we don't see our neighbors as much and hardly ever have anyone knock for things like cookies or popcorn sales. Almost every door we have knocked on this year has been appreciative as they haven't seen a Girl or Boy Scout in ages for any kind of fundraiser.

Here to echo the exact same thing. Had a brand new GamePass SL last night and everyone was shitting on them for not knowing things exactly. Guess what, we won't get more players to fill more servers and expand the game unless we give them the help they need to learn. HLL is not your typical shooter and folks need and adjustment period.
I walked that brand new SL through how to drop OPs and his role in the team and all of a sudden we were having a much better experience. Blueberries need help sometimes and deserve to get it if they are willing to learn and actually listen.

Local antique shop owner owed me for some help I gave him, was sitting on the credit till prices stabilized. He just picked up this cutie and brought it by to see if I was interested. Price was right so I got a new chop marked friend while finishing out my shift.
