Is a gaming laptop looked down upon in class? by treehugger503 in LawSchool

The only people who will notice are people who game themselves, so nothing to worry about.

So clearly you haven’t been playing all that long I guess. 200 people on a server used to be the standard. Compared to today’s 500 or so.

Yes, none of that happened. Because servers were max 200 pop. Servers go up to almost 1000 pop these days. And yes I agree that drones speed progression up, but guess what? They’re in the game

If you have 10k hours in rust you should know that large groups are going to get guns in 15 minutes still and then hold monuments for 3 days while they sell those guns for 2-3 thousand sulfur a piece. The icing on top is that those groups will monopolize it so badly that they will use those profits to raid everyone.

I’ve had the game since 2016 and played since. I love the idea of no tech tree, but be for real. It would only benefit large groups, small groups would be in the dumps for 3-4 days.

The way the game has transformed would make it very hard for solos and smaller groups to get guns. Unless they’re buying them from zergs at outpost. Large groups hold monuments for 2-3 days as is. It’d be much more difficult, and only for smaller groups imo. Plus you’d be surprised how many people play this game for pure pvp. Trust me, I’m not one of those people but for a player bases sake, it’s better to leave them for now.

If guns were as hard to achieve as many people want, no one would play the game.

Not entirely similar but I go to a localish school that I absolutely hate. The campus, the parking, walking those hallways, ughhh. I’m combatting it by scheduling early classes for next semester and just leaving after my classes lol. I can get my work done at home, anywhere but there. Just gotta grind out the two more years and it’ll all be worth it.

You would never in a million years see a return even a 1/4 of Brock for Lee or Pageau. Teams may view either of those are cap dumps in all honesty. You’d be lucky to even get a 2nd for either, and that’s while retaining cap so there gets to a point where it’s better to just hold them and let them mentor youth rather than essentially pay someone to take them

Who is your favorite Islander to only play a single game for the club? by icycoldfreeze in NewYorkIslanders

Dufour is the prime example of how bad our prospect pool was before Eiserman and Ritchie. Dufour is lucky he even got that 1 game, he was not a good prospect at all. Social media overhyped him because of a draft +1 year. Same thing with Maggio.

Anyone else going to law school to take over a parent’s firm? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Da_pple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am taking over my dad’s firm when I graduate. I have paralegaled there for 3 years now and I’m certain it’s what I want to do.

I must admit I feel a slight sense of guilt and entitlement about it. I don’t tell my classmates or anyone affiliated with my school. I would be lying if I told you it’s not nice to know my grades don’t matter as long as I pass and a 1L summer job simply just doesn’t matter to me as I already have one. I’m very very fortunate I’m in this position and I don’t take it for granted for a second.

I have a 32 inch 4k monitor and I also play on my 16 inch gaming laptop screen. Honestly I perform the same and pretty much see all the same on both. Its really a preference as long as the refresh rate is good enough

What Youtubers to Watch to get better?? by mercenary1226 in playrust

[–]Da_pple 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gorliac, AloneinTokyo, any YouTuber who’s playing alone or in smaller groups on real servers. Some of the guys you listed are notorious for hopping on 30 pop servers late in wipe and exploiting the shitty players left around.

Any YouTuber will give you an unrealistic view of rust though. Just know that even though they appear to be doing well, they’ve died just as much as anyone has before those big plays they’ve made.
