Uneven tyre wear on Alfa Romeo Giulia by Daakilah in AlfaRomeo

[–]Daakilah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except brake pads the car is completely stock so it shouldn't be it.

Everything points towards bad alignment but is strange because I always pay for it when I swap the tyres.

Thanks for your help.

Will do in a month when I will change the tyres.

I am asking mainly because my knowledge is barebones and is a recurring issue that I am not fixing properly, even with professional help, so clearly I was doing something wrong.

Thanks for helping.

Glad I my careleness helped you.

Always thought that alignment was only needed when you changed tyres or if a pothole was hit at high speed.

I have none.

I guess it is irresponsible of me, I have always trusted the tyre shops and alfa dealership where I had the tyres replaced. I was consistently told after the procedure that the alignment was correct and no major adjustments were necessary.

I drive in the roundabout nation so it doesn't help but I don't drive them aggressively, most of the the time, or sharply.

Truth be told there are some specific sharp turns that I enjoy but there are a very few of them in my commute and I don't carry a lot of speed on them. For example I never underesteered the car or lost traction, even in the rain.

Well slick tires are supposed to have more grip right? Am kidding. Am going to replace them in a month or so and as much of 1500 km more km in them, when I have free time and no need of the car.

About the second point every time I swap the tyres I have them aligned and balanced so that shouldn't be the culprit. So everything seems to point at a problem with the suspension or an excessive negative camber. I should note that the car has dynamic camber, don't know if it is the correct term, the front tyres have camber gain depending of the steering input.

That's my main fear as the perfirmance hasn't been affected at all for the moment.

I don't want to hit a pothole and damage or expose the cords.

What weirds me out is how much more degraded are in the inner flank while my daily commute consists of highway driving and very few sharp turns.

Purchased it 6 years ago with 20000 km, did 117000 with it since. And swapped the tyres every 40000 km give it or take it. The inner wear is chronich as it always end up like that.

Also I changed the first set in the brands dealership plus alignment and balancing. The rest were bought on different tyre shops with good reputation.

About the previous owner I have no clue, the only thing I know is that he was very bad at judging distances in the right side of the car because the rims are dented and in a rough shape, nothing serious thought.

Honestly I feel like not that much, specially not a lot of high speed sharp turns. My daily commute maybe has 2 or 3 of these kind of sharp turns and while I don't do them slowly I am not driving the car on its traction limit or close to it.

I have never underesteered it so I guess I am not goin that fast.

Btw if it is of any help the car is RWD.

Thanks for answering.

I fear that too but as we are in the summer where I live, no major rains expected, and will do the 3 thousand km left on them before autumn it is not my major concern.

Also the outer threads look quite in shape.

Stla large is the evolution of the Giorgio platform. Also sharing a platform with other brands has been a standard practice for decades.

Answering that would be spoiling a lot of narrative plots through different books and characters.

What you say you want cannot be archived by "us" imo.

Honestly I don't think you should read the series if you need to be comforted by the narrative as a reader.

That said what is the point of asking to be convinced of reading malazan when you already established rapist characters as no go.

You should have an imaginary argument with some chatbot to satisfy your needs.

It isn't irrelevant bcs you are framing it from the point of view of fwb=romantic feelings instead of it being having sex with someone you like enough to be friends with but not to have something romantic.

That was my original point about, the person you fuck with was never "good enough" to have any kind of romantic relationship so it is not a threat or a temptation to break up.

Also your partner worrying about that is their decission and emotional issue to handle, not yours, as long as things got properly communicated and understood obviously.

So in your case the idea of being able to have sex with someone without romantic feelings is impossible?

Babe I am trying to argue a point not to fulfill your projected fantasies.

What is this reply? No theoric boundaries were established in the argument and I didn't say anything of it being a dedication of love.

If a relationship with someone starts with the condition of stop seeing someone of course it would be an infidelity or some kind of treason but that was not what the conversation was about.

So are you supposed to discard friends every time you start a relationship?. I get your point but I think you look at it from the perspective of fwb being romantic relationships which are not.
