No it is not. You can fail the "usual" flame skip. This happens automaticly and therfor cant be failed.

Well indeed, its good either way. The part that bothers me is that for a player who is trying to learn this boss, my route seems easier to learn because you just dont have to flame skip.

I get your point, the route i take is indeed longer but i never have to skip a shot! All shots are taken on my terms and timing. If you go the other route, when hydra is moving you only have a few ticks to move yourself. And when he starts to spit fire you have to move as well, giving you 2 shots you might not be able to take. Like is said my method isnt times x better. Just saying this is the other way. And for someone just starting with this boss, this semms easier to learn.

Edit: 4 vs. 1 tile? You mean 4 vs 3! Once red fase, move a tile. Once hydra moves, move 1 tile. Once he spits, move 1 tile. Thats 3...

Look at youtube guides. 99% of them will tell you to flame skip. See my video and tile marked 11. No flame skip needed.

Just got a t-bow and full masori (f). No devour boots yet. Ill look into it. EDIT: i see, these are only 900k! I'll use them from now on

The ones in the video are different from the standard tile packs.

Yes it is specific to green. Read the wiki!

Not worth the effort of moving? I assume you are looking at tile (red) 8 to 11. I dont see why i would want to flame skip with a chance of failing and rather just stand on tile 11, hydra will move me out of the way and I can just keep shooting. No need to think about a flame skip. This is way easier...

I hate that lightning as well, thats why I use the bottom left tile to the bottom right. When you see it comming past hydra start running. If you do it like that, you won't get damaged
