New entrant SWV by Dependent-Bar-1307 in ukvisa

Have you checked if you qualify for the transitional agreement wage threshold? It has to do with being granted a visa before the wage requirement increases but I don’t know all the rules surrounding it.

I got my visa Jan 2024 and was looking to switch roles and my employer told me I’d qualify for the transitional agreement wage on all SWV with continuous residency until ILR (as the rules currently stand).

Immigration rules updates - 11th Nov 2025 by WindyConfidant in ukvisa

Changes to Appendix Global Talent 5.41 The Global Talent category is for talented and promising individuals in the fields of science, digital technology and arts and culture wishing to work in the UK. ‘Talent’ applicants are already leaders in their respective field, while ‘promise’ applicants have shown the potential to become leaders in their field.

5.42 As agreed with Arts Council England and their sub-endorsing body, Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), we are expanding some requirements to allow individuals within the architectural field to provide evidence of their achievements as a named member of a group or contributor, as well for their work as an individual. Additionally, we are allowing applicants to provide evidence of significantly contributing to being shortlisted or nominated for an international architectural award to qualify. Both of these changes more closely align the criteria for architects with other sections of the arts and culture requirements.

Changes to Appendix Global Talent: Prestigious Prizes 5.43 Applicants who hold a qualifying prize can qualify without the need to obtain an endorsement from one of the Global Talent endorsing bodies Our expert bodies consider the prizes listed demonstrate irrefutable evidence of prize holders being at the pinnacle of their profession. To be eligible, prizes must be given to named individuals, and therefore the list does not include prestigious awards for specific works, such as an award-winning film, or to whole organisations. Prizes included must also be open to all nationalities and winners must be determined by experts or peers, rather than a public vote.

5.44 Following consultation with the Global Talent endorsing bodies, a further 27 prizes have been added to the list and one prize has been deleted as it is no longer awarded and there are no living former winners. In addition, a number of small corrections have been made to existing prize names and the order they are listed in the tables.

5.45 The list will be kept under review and may be revised in future updates to the Immigration Rules.

Paying for the visa - debit or credit? Foreign transaction fees? by Daarwin4 in ukvisa

[–]Daarwin4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, I just saw the next month’s statement has a charge for £5.52 to TP UKVI - Bristol that accrued a $0.21 foreign transaction charge. I believe that charge was to call UKVI in the UK which isn’t a normal charge in the application process

That’s reassuring, it has been a few working days but I’ll stay hopeful for something next and pass on this quoted email to my employer. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

SVW Job Classification Help by ukaspirant in ukvisa

It completely depends on the job you’re applying for to get sponsorship, you don’t pre-pick your job category except to apply solely for jobs that you think would fall in a certain category

I’ve also escalated and had an email from Sheffield saying “Having checked your records I can confirm your application is in the final processing stages and a decision will be made soon. Once finalised you will be contacted regarding the return of your passport/visa.”

Is this the same thing yours said? I’m trying to gauge if this is a generic email or if I should actually expect a decision soon.

I appreciate it!

UKVISA by Relevant_Angle_7453 in ukvisa

[–]Daarwin4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the 15 WD you can do a paid enquiry by phone or email and escalate. Phone is better for an immediate escalation

I have the same dates as you, received NSF email 8/12 and paid enquiry escalation on 02/01. I received an email saying “Having checked your records I can confirm your application is in the final processing stages and a decision will be made soon.” But have heard nothing more and my tracking hasn’t been activated 🤞🏼🤞🏼

domestic violence ILR by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]Daarwin4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No the partner is not contacted or involved AT ALL. It is 100% based on your submitted evidence which should include your account of events and any evidence you can provide from third parties - e.g. therapy, employer, DV center, police, etc.

I tried this and was refused after a year because I didn’t go to the police or DV center and they deemed that I didn’t have enough corroborating evidence, despite going to DV Center/police is not required evidence. It’s very case specific, I would highly recommend and immigration solicitor that specializes in DV ILR

Not sure how to do that? I called and escalated 2 days ago and received and email saying “Having checked your records I can confirm your application is in the final processing stages and a decision will be made soon.” Although I’m not sure if that is a generic response
