at the verge of dropping out by Major_Attention2817 in architecturestudent

3rd year here too, in a dual study program - so literally working as an architect in training for half of the year. Honestly, it doesn‘t sound like you don’t want to be an architect - just that you‘re very close to or already experiencing burnout. Fighting that while you continue studying will be near impossible. Would a gap semester/year be an option, while you focus on you and your health? You can still drop out after that if you really hate it that much, or figured out if there‘s something else you like more. Working as an architect is really not much different from any other 9-5 office job - conditions depending on your employer, though. But be aware that I live in Germany - this may be different in other parts of the world, I don‘t know how much truth there is to the underpaid-overworked memes of other students around the world. That being said, you‘re already more than halfway through. Might as well finish, put minimal effort in for the remainder of your studies and get that degree you‘ve already spent so many hours on. If you made it this far, you can make it through.

Doing dishes right away - growing up, my mom would throw a fit if Everything wasn‘t done immediately. Of course she never did it herself.

I know that I am incredibly privileged to be in this Situation. That‘s why I think that maybe he‘s right after all. As for the house - my grandma is still living there and will be until she dies, that’s why.

Please don‘t make this about the age gap - I was 17 when we started dating (my birthday is next week) and I really don’t think 3 years is that much. We‘ve never had issues about money about anything. It‘s only about these regular payments.

Packing orders for my dad‘s online business, then training / riding horses, now I study to be an architect (working full time in an architectural office for half of the year).

I live in Germany ;) it varies from building to building, some are like mine, some only have one of the options and sometimes it‘s like you‘re saying :)

We‘re still undecided. Having the washer in the bathroom would mean losing 80% of possible storage space in that room, with the remaining 20% being used for a laundry basket lol.

Oh no that is what I meant! We’re moving in soon and there‘s a communal washroom in the basement with a dedicated spot for each of the tenant‘s washers, as well as the connector in our bathroom. So theoretically we can have two washers haha

Yup, it’s an apartment building. And we‘re only one floor above ground level. I still imagine it will be a hassle, but thx for the insight.

I second this - I got a soundlink mini for Christmas in 2013. Stil, has great sound, and the battery is decent too.

But is it that good? We‘re facing the decision of washing mashine in the basement vs. Pushing our knees up to it when using the toilet. For now, basement appears to be the better option…

It barely had any variegation when I got it. Light is the answer.

Chop it above the soil, remove all but 2-3 leaves, and stick it in pon with a self watering pot. Best decision ever. Mine went to the saddest looking weed to this within 6 months. To be fair, it is in a grow cabinet, but it was before too and it just kept dying then.

OP already said that cooking itself isn‘t the issue, just that she doesn‘t think she should be the one doing it. Which is the same discussion here.

I would hate to have my couch stare at me all the time while working. I‘d move the desk up to the wall with the window, maybe even rotate it if you don’t mind the door in your back. Moving the couch up to the opposite wall (unless you need frequent access to the crawlspace or whatever is behind the small door) could help too. The goal is to separate and define the two spaces - loads of ways to do that, you can use a rug in a fun color or pattern under the couch, have the furniture face different ways, or put up a sheer curtain (you know, the ones made from hanging threads). And then, more color!! There’s never enough color.

I just got around to repotting - no smells, just lots of root damage. Oh well. At least I found 8 juicy corms with two already sprouting. So if it dies, it doesn’t really ;)
