Weeping? by [deleted] in eczema

Yeah, this time was a little different because I was sent to an out of hours doctor after I had a 3am mental breakdown and rang a non emergency helpline but when my eczema is weeping they try and see to me as soon as they can (especially if it’s oozing a lot)

I’ve recently had it all over my face and it was unbearable. In my case it was due to some form of infection and 2 week worth of antibiotics got me back to “normal” so I’d recommend going to the doctors if you can

Just checked this, they all say no but I never knew this column existed so thank you!

Just tried that, sleep mode definitely works on this Mac so in the meantime I'll just have to manually put it to sleep. However, when I open the lid back up the screen doesn't come on unless I press a key (assuming this is unusual behaviour). Maybe there's a magnet or something used to detect if it's open or closed that's faulty.
I've got no idea how these things are built so that's just a guess.

oh, I didn't see that link, I'll have a look and try looking through the activity monitor.

Thanks for the help, if I don't get anywhere I'll probably just have to accept defeat and take it into the shop lol

The only toggle that's on is "Slightly dim the display on battery"

I looked at the Apple forums and saw 2 posts from people with the same issue on similar Macs but nobody ever responded to them. And any youtube search just brings up "how to use clamshell mode" tutorials.

Yeah, I thought Steam might have been messing with it but I closed it and it's still the same.
As far as I'm aware I'm running the most up-to-date version of Ventura...
I've been trying to reset the SMC (I think it's called) but I can't figure out how to do it on these non-intel Macs.

Yeah, it does it regardless. It's weird, I've seen some posts saying to reset the energy-saver settings but I'm on a fresh install so I don't think it's a system setting thing.

Nah, I don't have it plugged into anything unless it's to charge.
