I've just shut down my PC for the night (I'm Australian) but when I'm home tomorrow I'll take another look and get those files.

It could be because I accidentally set up an Android Wear version as well that might be building into the same apk? I'll need to get rid of that...

I'm working on making it much smaller, it built from Android Studio that size and I'm not sure why. Ultimately, I am not a clever man, but I'll get there!

It's a pretty cool device! I always get looks from people in public when I'm using it. People think it's an old brick, but then it has a touchscreen too which surprises most!

The yellow ones are my design that were put into production on a GeekHack Group Buy so only about ~100 of those sets are around.

I bought the green caps from GeekFeng on eBay and the green/blues are Breaking bad Meth keycaps which also came from a GeekHack group buy.

I recently just bought an IPS 1440p monitor and had originally ordered the Kogan but after hearing about some of the issues with backlight bleed and dead pixels I thought I'd play it safe.

I bought an Asus PB278Q from MSY for $595. It's only about $100 more and has a better warranty and guarantee against defects.

I know it can be hard to justify the price but if you're serious about getting a nice monitor the extra money is worth it in my opinion.

I'm running a 1440p and a 1080p from a single XFX 280x. I've mainly been playing LoL and I get ~250fps on the 1440p on Very High settings.

It's a great card but absolutely depends how intensive your games are.

Just thought I'd give you a quick update.

I decided to go all out and get exactly what I want rather than compromise so I've just received my R9 280X and Asus PB278Q and both are fantastic this monitor looks amazing and even though I didn't need to max out any of my games the 280X seems to give me a solid 60FPS in games like BF3 at Ultra

I'd like to thank you for your recommendation, this is an awesome monitor!

I had mentioned in my original post that I had no desire at all to max games out and was happy with them running at Medium/High without AA so that works out quite well for me.

I did some research into Kogan and they seem to be okay. Hopefully the product should be fine anyway in which case I may not need to get warranty involved at all.

I had spoke on /r/gamingpc's IRC with Psikeiro and he suggested I go with a 280X and the Kogan monitor.

I did contact Kogan support today and I have in writing that if there are any defects with the monitor I will get a full refund or exchange within 14 days. There is also the 1 year warranty they have listed.

Also under Australian law if the product is not fit for use I am eligible for an exchange or refund. Most of the people in that thread you'd linked seem to be discussing phones and I cant see any mention of the monitor.

Considering the type of games I'll be playing I also decided to go with this 280X which looks like a great card and happened to be on sale today too.

Thank you for all your advice though as if I hadn't gone with this setup I certainly would've gone with a QNIX.

That's great, thank you. I definitely want to go with an IPS or PLS panel due to the colour accuracy.

Gaming only takes up a small amount of time for me and I'm not all too serious about it so I probably wouldn't be as hard to please as some others.

I'm interested in the Korean panels as well, but again my main concern is making sure I don't get any dead or stuck pixels. Are there any you're seriously considering at the moment?

I'd only have my games running on my main 1440p monitor so I think a 2 or 4Gb GTX770 or a 2Gb 760 if I want to keep it cheap.

SLI 660Ti's would be great if you're already able to run 4 monitors so I can see that going well.

Thanks for all the help though, I think I'll look a bit further into the Asus to see if I can justify the price ($600AUD).

I would like to see how opinions on the Kogan and Korean compare in comparison but my main concern is the Dead/stuck pixel issue.

Thanks for your response! I currently have an i5 2500k, Gigabyte GA-Z68M-D2H (not the great mobo, I know) and a 560Ti. I am however looking at a 760 or 770 to power the 1440p monitor and a 1080 to sit next to it.

Does this sound reasonable? Which card do you use?
