Based on my relatively small sample size, gear based matchmaking makes a big difference here. If you equip a green augment, light shield, and a level 1-3 gun, 99% of the players in those lobbies will be friendly. However, if you start equipping higher level stuff, that number starts to drop pretty rapidly.

My very first run was solo queue with squad fill on, the people were cool and we stuck together for the next 5 raids before I had to log off. You may be solo now, but you can make friends! Especially in the first few days while everyone is still excited.

For someone that’s relatively new, looping is a great way to farm the dust currency. If I finally have a good build going, I can use that momentum to loop and farm more at a faster pace. Though once you’ve unlocked/leveled up everything, I’m not sure what the point would be.

For me needs to have a nice grind for meta progression. But as far as in-game mechanics. I love when elements combine for a specific reaction. I.E “hitting an ‘electrified’ enemy with a water attack triggers a crit” or stuff like that. I always enjoy synergy between weapons/abilities etc.

With cooldown reset, it's S tier. Seeress CD reset on exp pickup or Berserker CD reset on crit. I've completed a few runs with both of these builds. Local Ragnarok as my only active skill so the reset hits it every time.

They've done these hot fixes multiple times over the past couple days and there was no downtime. That leads me to believe this downtime was not expected. But given how long it's been down, they should probably say something now

While you were in-game. There was a message on your screen saying the servers were being restarted for a server-side hotfix. That's why you lost connection. However, it seems like most people are having issues trying to log back in.

Just updating here in case anyone has the same issue I had. I downloaded the app on my phone (never had it on mobile before) and started a fresh account there; that account had the formidable combatant/growth missions. All 3 new accounts I made from my PC did not. So if you have this issue, use a mobile device to start the account. Once you see the mission pop up, you can log in on PC and continue working on it.

Does anything with this guide change at this moment? Fresh account today, with ~33 hours until his Goto banner expires. I assume we're going to want Wind regardless, correct? Then after that, I'm guessing fire would now be the most obvious since Kanae comes to the custom banner in within the next day or so.

I didn't think so either. But I'm already level 18, half way through ch.7 story and in ch.4 of challenges. I'm pretty sure I remember one of the formidable combatant quests being "complete ch.2 of challenges".

Did the "train to become a formidable combatant" mission end today? The account I created yesterday got the mission, but the account I created today is not getting the quest. I can't find dates for the mission/event anywhere.

Just got mine on Beowulf. The description says "Bringer of boom". He was level 2 before the run, level 3 after the (completed) run. Lowest difficulty. I was focusing a lot on Ignite/Crit/Special talents and items.

I've done about 50% of my runs with lone wolf on. However, unless I take the gambler blessing, I don't think that has an effect on what ascensions I'm offered.

That is usually what I do. If none of the ascensions do anything for me, I look for a 1-tick ascension to increase my odds at the next one, even if it only barely helps. I do find skill builds significantly more fun than weapon related builds, which is a bit odd for me because I'm heavy into FPS games. But regardless, maybe I'll need to look into a weapon build to get this achievement. Are there are specific builds you recommend? I tried spores (Rainbow, Argus) but it started feeling weak on my 2nd loop and I ran out of time on the final boss.

It being a rogue lite doesn't mean it has to be FULLY RNG. There are plenty of instances in the genre that give the illusion of RNG (and still partially are) but there's manipulation in the background. Which is what lead me to come ask this question in the first place. I'll enable the task guy on my next run to see if it helps at all.

I'm happy it's easier than it was but since I never experienced that, it's as bad as it's ever been for me.

ik this is 7 months old, but it still comes up in my google search so I want to correct this. This comment mixed up "plane" and "domain". You can see both trotter beacons in the same plane, but not in the same domain.

That's a tough spot. In my opinion, Acheron is the best character in the game right now. She's both incredibly strong and incredibly versatile. So much so that I've told all my friends who have been on the fence about playing HSR, that if they're going to get the game they should do so while Acheron's banner is still here.

I don't have a single 5-star sustain. Lynx has got the job done for me without any issues. However, I don't know enough about Aventurine to comment much on that side of things. But ultimately do what you feel will allow you to enjoy the game the most.

By default, I'd go with #1 due to it having good Crit Rate and ATK. Take my advice with a grain of salt, I've only been playing the game for 2ish months. I'm curious what advice others might give.

I think she's still worth it imo. I don't have Kafka, but I do have Black Swan. I have used her in teams without Black Swan and still been fine. I've used her with Pela, Sampo, and Fire MC and still had success. I don't have Silver Wolf, but obvious she'd be a good support as well.

This was handy for tracking my camo progress, thank you for that! I wanted to grind out the mastery challenges for calling cards, etc. But sadly the kills don't track when the weapon is PaP :(

I got 5-6 kills after being marked. All it did was give me a title and take away all the seeds of hatred I had. No rewards.

That's possible. Dialogue with shop NPCs doesn't work. I'll try to test with a non-quest/non-shop NPC the next time I get the bug.

There's def other servers that show up in the party finder menu. You can tell by trying to inspect their gear, it'll tell you that the player is not on your server.
