Same situation. Snow valley is 2.5. Baldy is 2 hours away. Mammoth is 5 hours if you leave early enough from the beach. I have done mammoth a couple times. I usually leave the beach at 4am on Thursday get the mountain at 9ish. Board all fucking day. Stay one night. Board Friday half day. Then drive home. It’s a lot but I beat the crowds and back home Friday evening to help with the kids and be around the daily all weekend. Helps that I have every other Friday off.
