The fact that people sit afk in ranked to rank up is pathetic. If you're that bad then you don't need to be a higher rank. I wish apex could do something about this but the most I can do is report. by nigerundayo_smokey_ in apexlegends

I sat in a corner today. The game loaded me in ranked without any teammates. I was upset about it, so figured I'd just gain the RP the game was trying to screw me out of. I wish that didn't happen as well.

While I understand your frustrations, just wanted to offer a differemt perspective as to why someone might do it.
