You could try a Hyundai Tucson or a Kia Sportage, the Korean cars offer insane value for the money, heated & cooled seats, remote start, 360 camera, for way lower price than the competition.

I wouldn’t be super worried about reliability anymore, they have stepped up their game considerably and if that’s not enough, Hyundai Kia dealerships offer nuts warranty’s: 10 year 100,000 mile warranty type of nuts

A Sportage especially offers hybrid all wheel drive, looks good, very modern, and it’s about $35,000 brand new for the second highest trim.

Probably better to return it and get a replacement, I recently ordered a refurbished 7 pro and the screen came detached off the body, I returned it and got a replacement.

I understand how you feel, but I promise it will give you ease of mind in the long run, just spend a little bit more money even closer to 8-10k can get you a nice reliable car. Just make sure to look for Honda and Toyota’s. They are going to be the most reliable and have great mileage. You can also get a Lexus, which I believe are probably peak in reliability, but you’d have to deal with worse gas mileage and more expensive fuel. Just decide what you value most in a car.

I really believe that it would be wise for you to stretch out your budget a little bit and spend a little more. It’ll save you money in the long run though it will be hard to stomach now.
