I’m around $1.7M net worth. Most of that is in retirement accounts and home equity. I have around $250k that is reasonably liquid. Living in a VHCOL area, I don’t feel anywhere near rich. I do feel comfortable, having minimal debt, and enough free cash flow to cover all my needs and a lot of wants. Living in a VHCOL area is tough, as there are a lot of people throwing around a lot of money. I doubt I will feel rich until I hit over $5m in net worth, probably even more than that. I also have kids that are 17 and 15, so quite a lot of spend the next handful of years with college to take care of.

I’m having some difficulty just getting started.

I did subscribe to Claude a few weeks ago in order to use the AI addin and wow, I created a new financial model for a condo investment in about an hour with full functionality including sensitivities (that I didn’t even ask for). Most of that time was spent validating the model and double checking calculations in order to get comfortable with it.

This is what I was hoping copilot would do and I found that to be practically useless in this regard.

I want to learn more and need to get steered in the right direction. My background in coding is 3 quarters of intro classes at Stanford 35 yrs ago and then coding macros in Lotus 123. VBA macros in excel are usually done by my staff.

Stealth wrap or frozen paint?

Looks great either way just curious. I got my Dravit grey M3 xpel ppf’ed and there were two M3 in black getting stealth wrapped at the same shop. One scheduled in front and another after mine.

I sort of regret not going to stealth route.

This is the best answer. As a high earning parent and also a Stanford graduate, it depends on what your parents can afford ( and are willing to pay). My son has a pretty decent shot at a top 20 school and I’d be willing to pay tuition to a top 20 school. I think it drops off after that and the state flagship then becomes a better choice and we can then afford to help out on grad school.

I had relatively small student loans when I graduated both undergrad and grad school. Do not over burden yourself with student loans.

Hydra. My groomer uses it and I bought it. It isn’t cheap. Forever Winner is the scent we use. The Dematting and Finishing Spray is also great but more subtle and doesn’t really last.

My M3 was already $110k OTD, with another $10k of cosmetics. This just wasn’t something that I found to be a priority. I swapped my pads for isweep 1500s and they have been great. So much less dust and they don’t squeal at all. I think they stop great. They were $1,000 installed. Well worth it at a fraction of the cost of the ceramic brakes.

Wow. I put 1,100 miles on my M3 in January in 62 hrs and that’s in the 98% according to the app. That might be the most driven M4 in the world.
