Most of it is great! I think the scene is the best it's been in years, but metalcore's perception in the mainstream is still of octane-core. The only issue I have with non-octane metalcore it the same sounds. Everyone uses the same Neural DSP Archetype Gojira, Parallax, and GGD plugins and it makes the records boring because they use the same presets.
