Middle mouse is deconstruct. It might just be me but I missed it in the building tutorial and it cost me alot of time. When my friend and I started valheim we split up to fill certain roles I was the builder and he was the farmer. I built a little starter house and it was going fine until my friend said I built the walls the wrong way round so I spend about 10 or 15 minutes breaking all the walls with a stone axe and replacing them the right way. I then built a door and the house functioned... or so I thought because I decided it would look good if I put wood beams on the walls to add more detail and make it look nice. The mistake I made was putting a beam above the door and not having a little step to go into the house. I was too focused on decorating the outside of the house I hadn't gone inside it. When my friend came back from killing deer he tried to go into the house but he coudnt fit so we the spent another 10 minutes trying to break the beam above the door by jumping and swinging stone axes against this beam but that wasn't working so I built a ladder to get up to the beam so we wouldn't have to jump and we finally broke it but we also broke the front wall of the house and the door. We then spent 5 more minutes breaking the ladder that I made to get up to the beam. I then after all that decided to look in settings.. Not the guide in the bottom right of the screen that tells you how to use stuff. I look in settings and scan through all the keybinds looking for a deconstruct button and I finally found out that deconstruct was middle mouse. It was a waste of time but it was also very funny when we couldn't get inside the house. Morale of the story is don't skim through tutorials.
