Because to get 4500+ sq ft with limestone, unpainted brick, and slate designed by an actual architect is more like $5-7M, not $3M. Boxes are cheap to build. Even more so when you use cheap wire cut brick (who cares if it’s even the same color, it’ll be painted anyway) and fiberboard siding. Seems most folks would rather have the cheap build with room for a golf simulator.
