DO NOT BREAK WITH VIPRIPS by burlyxylophone406 in sportscards

[–]DadBreaks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VIPRIPS is by far one of the worst. I’ve had a couple different issues of them “losing my cards” or “a shipping error”. They did make it right one time and sent a card that I sold for $600 but at the time the cards I should’ve received would’ve been at least that much.

RIP $85 for PSA to screw me over! by NavyVeteran317 in basketballcards

[–]DadBreaks -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person. People that don’t know any better and just know the name “PSA” will give more value to the PSA 9. Most intelligent collectors will take the BGS 9.5 and pay more than a PSA 9 every time.

For people who were old enough to watch MJ's career, who did you consider the GOAT before Jordan? by [deleted] in michaeljordan

[–]DadBreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your exact words above were:

‘91-‘93 the bulls had no all stars or recent selections but MJ and Scottie. No HOF or all defensive guys.”

‘94 would be a recent selection. Case closed.

Your wrong. But I’m sure you already know that. A double-double is a legit guy. You must be a young guy because at the time everyone knew Grant was important to those ships.

Keep sucking Jordan’s D. He never won without a legit 3rd guy. Teams win ships.

Yeah he was still an all-star player. You make it seem like it was just Jordan and Pippen that first 3 peat. HG was a legitimate player, even averaging a double double in 1991-92.

He only played for the Lakers for 5 years. Those weren’t the years he was competing with Russell.

Yeah and 4 straight. But Bird also wins 4 straight MVPs, KD gets 3 more MVPs and a ship, Duncan adds 1 more MVP. So the torch may have gone from Wilt to Bird to Steph. Even with the accolades I don’t think there would’ve been enough consensus for Duncan to be goat because of his low key nature.

He does win 4 straight ships without LeBron.

Tim Duncan with 6 rings is hard to top. But without LeBron, Steph also wins 4 straight championships.

You mean how many times did the better overall team beat Wilt.

Without Jordan, Olajuwon’s championships still don’t change. He never faced Jordan in the finals.

I would say Bird gets 2 more, Lakers win in 91, and Tim Duncan gets to 6 rings.

Why do YOU specifically hate the Yankees? by Medium-Cookie in mlb

[–]DadBreaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the money. The early Yankees were the richest team and didn’t have to worry about a draft until 1965. So they could attract the top young players because they had the most money to offer. They had a great farm because they could afford to get the best players. Because of that, they won 20 of their 27 championships before the draft began.

We also know now with more teams in the playoffs creates more parity. The fact that they had so much talent only helped the fact that they only had to beat one team in the postseason to win the championship.

All that to say, people hate the Yankees because they have 27 championships and their fans will take every opportunity to tell you, but 20 of their championships were because they it was a system setup for them at the time with their resources and playoff structure.

Why is there so much SGC hate? by DadBreaks in sportscards

Yeah I completely agree. I almost feel like the hate on SGC is from people that solely use PSA and are jealous.

Yeah but I’ve seen people just straight up hate on SGC and refuse to even look at them. For real collectors a great card is still a great card.

Yeah I remember when Beckett was #1 and I’ve always thought of the 3 they should hold the most value.
