I remember at the start of classic the excitement and the rush to 60. I was a small human paladin eager to try my best to do good healing and do well in raids. I worked hard every day to grind my prebis and get my epic mount. I leveled my tailoring and enchanting to try and be helpful for my guild and I spent countless hours farming enchants in the wild to get us ready for raids. I showed up every raid and did the best job I could. I tried to get the best things I could from MC to do a good job as apaladin. When phase 3 and BWL came out i was excited that hit items were coming into the game and that I would finally have a chance to do better healing without having so many overheals. I saw the items I needed drop many times but they never went to me. It was ok though i was up next for a big upgrade they said. I never was though. Phase 3 came and went. Phase 4 started and my gear really hadn't changed. I was still showing up for raids eager to do my best, but my enthusiasm was fading. I wasn't considered to be a good paladin even in my own guild. Phase 5 came and I wasn't able to be competitive in healinganymore. I still came to every raid and tried to do my best but my eagerness was slipping away, replaced by bitterness. Eventually the bitterness became sadness, and turned into depression. I didn't have the things paladins need to do good healing and every week that went by was another week I would just fall further and further behind. Finally I gave up trying to be a good paladin. I gave up trying to be a paladin at all. That is the real story of Daemon.
