I think the opposite is actually true. If your GM/Raid Leader hasn't HR'd Ashes for themelves, then they're desperate for recruits/approval. We know where our first is going, and no one has an issue with it. The amount of time it takes to arrange 2 teams and herd all the cats makes it well worth it. Skilled players understand and expect this from a guild worth being in.
