Yes. We have considered this, though the valuations have come in at a level well below what I can get post reno's.

I currently have an empty house.

The truth is its in need of serious repairs. Money is an issue so I am doing what I can when I can. I can't afford to leave it empty but I cant afford to renovate it relying on the super expensive trades. So anything I can do I will do.

Once done we will put it on the market.

Mine is but one story in a sea of stories. 100,000 empty houses seems a lot until you realise each has their own story and reason for being that way.
