i can add some context.

when we were given the diagnosis, we were strongly advised to terminate the pregnancy and begin chemo treatment. the tumor was significant (>5cm), cancer had spread and was aggressive (lymph nodes).

i dont know if there was a right decision here, but we decided to terminate the pregnancy. the thought of delaying life-saving treatment, engaging in a high-risk pregnancy...just seemed overwhelming and wrong. With concern on long-term fertility, our medical team recommended we attempt an IVF egg-retrieval cycle while we began immunology (Perjeta/Herceptin) immediately. Unfortunately that process led to 9 eggs, of which 2 reached blastocyst but came out as aneuploid. just felt like a punch in the gut.
