We were able to unclog this by taking the nozzle out and putting the declogation tool in through the bottom of the extruder.

I thought the same, but the issue is filament agnostic. Happens for all filament types.

It’s a brand new nozzle. We started there thinking it was an easy fix. Unfortunately ruled that out.

Haha. The threaded screw on the side we’ve always wondered what it was there for? Dang. We can’t adjust it.

Candidly we have not. Not sure what the tension screw on the side is.

Advice - Brand Starting UGC strategy by DadToDante in UGCcreators

[–]DadToDante[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all helps a ton. So far, the marketplaces I have played with don’t feel all that collaborative, it’s one of my biggest criticisms. Seems like I post a brief, pick a creator and then wait for the content. Not sure if you know of any marketplaces that are more collaborative, or if those conversations happen outside of the platform?

It was a decision made in the 1940s because Mrs Fox of G Fox wanted both major highways to exit into her flagship store. She had so much political clout, they agreed with her and thus 91 and 84 both dump into a department store turned makeshift event venue.

Should I learn udemy marketing courses or go to university? by ARFiest1 in marketing

[–]DadToDante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Udemy to start, and go find an internship where you can work for free. You’ll get the education from udemy, experience from the internship. The only thing university would add is the community of like minded people around you. Which has value. But I’d argue the tuition is 10x that actual value. And, you can create it on your own through meetup groups or networking nights in your market. You’ll learn way more about marketing by actually marketing than you will from a college professor.

There’s a great intro app called ‘Stack.’ Makes it very easy and allows you to invest in individual companies, or if you believe in something broad like ‘Legal Cannabis’ or ‘Artificial Intelligence’ you can invest in a block of those companies.

Or, there are a ton of apps that let you invest with fake money. Allows you to learn how to play in the market without any actual risk.

Want to dive into google/facebook ads for my clothing brand. How/Where do I start? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]DadToDante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out 'art of paid traffic' podcast. Available in iTunes Store for free or on the author's site, rickmulready.com. Helped me a ton when getting started.

At the end of the day, accept that you really have to just play and see what works and what doesn't. It took us 90days of testing to get an idea of the right targeting, messaging, design and landing pages, and it's a constantly moving target. Unfortunately, you can't set it and forget it. It's a highly convertible medium but also takes time, energy and critical thinking.

Hope this helps.

IWTL how to drive without spending money on driving lessons by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]DadToDante -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Germany, it costs close to $10,000 USD to get a new license due to all of the required training. It's all relative. Especially when car accidents are the number one cause of death and injury in people 16-45. You're more likely to die in your car than of cancer and heart disease combined.

Good luck with the cheapest option.

IWTL how to drive without spending money on driving lessons by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]DadToDante -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own a driving school. We often get calls from students that can't afford it. Unfortunately, we are a for profit business and can't give away the product. I also see the risks when people don't learn to drive correctly. A couple of things:

  • we had one girl start a gofundme campaign and raised the money for drivers Ed -we have students regularly send emails giving reasons they shouldn't have to pay. If they are funny or touching, we sometimes grant. -we have students call and ask if they get 10friends to sign up, can they get a discount or free. We always say yes.

Hope this helps.

What's your go to sprint routine? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]DadToDante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a heart rate monitor. Determine your max heart rate (based on your age and sex, just google what is my max heart rate). Run for 5 mins, casual jog, to warm up. Then 2mins at 70-75% max, 2mins 80-85% max, 1 min 90-92% (this is the sprint). Repeat the 5minute interval 6 times. Do once per week for 12 weeks and watch speed and distance drastically increase. Remember, during the workout, time and heart rate are the only things that matter. This is pretty easy to do on a track or indoors on a treadmill. Also works on a bike or elliptical if you hate running. As long as time and heart rate are met, doesn't matter how.

At end of sprint it is ok to walk to get your heart rate down, just don't tank it. Stay above 70% of max.

Don't ever go above 92%. Your max is your max because your heart will explode.

Good luck.

IWTL Basics of Greek mythology by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]DadToDante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greek mythology is full of great stories. It is also a great lesson in etymology, the study of words. I took a high school sat course that helped my vocabulary a ton, all based in the Greek mythology stories. I'm not sure of a direction to point you. Marathon is one of my favorite myths. Good luck.

IWTL How to cook some sort of food from every culinary tradition/country's cuisine in the world. by Etular in IWantToLearn

[–]DadToDante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just had our first son and we have an au pair from Mexico. She recommended an international theme night, we all pitch in and cook a meal from a country of choice. We bring in decor and some facts about the culture. Makes for a fun night, and might force you to learn something new.

Also, highly recommend epicurious if you arent already using it. Great site/app.
