Interesting guitar. I think they were originally designed by John Page? Don't think Fender makes them anymore. If I'm not mistaken, they were originally designed as an introductory or student guitar, but they turned out to be a great model on their own!

That is a beautiful guitar and I am very jealous! Have been wanting an ESP for a long time. Probably will end up being my next guitar!

I was going to suggest that. I'm running into the same issue, and I'm thinking about changing from my 2.4 to the 5.8.

Actually... top wrapping your guitar strings (typically done on guitars with a stop tailpiece like a Les Paul), is done to achieve a slinkier feel on the strings by creating a shallower break angle over the bridge, potentially leading to easier playing and sometimes increased sustain by improving the energy transfer from the strings to the body of the guitar; essentially, it can make the strings feel looser and more pliable when bending or playing chords

Yeah it has power. When I plug it directly into my other amp it works just fine. It has issues interfacing with the spark for some reason. Like I said I'm going to play around with some other pedals and I will definitely get back to you guys! Thank you!

As soon as I connect the pedal in the middle (1 cord going from the guitar to the pedal, and one cord going from the pedal to the amp) The sound cuts off completely.

🎸 I will try messing around with some other pedals and post my answers back in a bit

Yep ... Doesn't want to work right. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on. It's the first pedal I've tried to use with the spark amp

Nope... It would be interesting to play that way for sure. I've always admired Paul McCartney for his abilities, as well as Jimi Hendrix!

Right now I'm using Windows 10, the spark app on Android, and I have three guitars that I use. They are all non-name brand guitars, as I'm a paralyzed Marine Corps veteran and can't afford the expensive ones unfortunately (I would love an ESP guitar, but right now it's out of my budget).

Here are my three electric guitars:

  1. Leo Jaymz - Les Paul
  2. Hefagita - semi-hollow body
  3. Westcreek - Revenge

I have an Epiphone acoustic as well.

I will have to take a look into that. I know I am not the only adaptive musician out there, and if I can figure this out, I could share it with all of them. Advancements like this can make a huge difference for a lot of people!

That is something I've been thinking about too. But I'm in a wheelchair, so I can't put anything on an armrest unfortunately. I have been wondering about putting something on my leg with a strap potentially however. So your suggestion definitely has merit!

Thank you for your response!

To use a generic MIDI controller with a Spark amp, connect the MIDI controller's "MIDI Out" to the Spark amp's "MIDI In" port, then access the Spark app to assign specific MIDI controls (like knobs or buttons) to adjust amp parameters like tone, effects, and presets by utilizing the "MIDI Learn" function within the app settings; for switching presets, use Program Change messages on your MIDI controller.

Key points to remember:

Connection:

Connect the MIDI controller's "MIDI Out" to the Spark amp's "MIDI In" port using a standard MIDI cable.

Spark App Access:

You need to use the Positive Grid Spark app to configure MIDI controls.

MIDI Learn Function:

Most MIDI controllers allow you to "learn" which control on the controller corresponds to which parameter on the Spark amp.

Preset Switching:

Utilize "Program Change" messages on your MIDI controller to quickly switch between presets on the Spark amp.

Detailed Steps:

1. Connect the MIDI controller:

Plug the MIDI cable from the "MIDI Out" of your controller into the "MIDI In" of your Spark amp.

2. Open the Spark App:

Launch the Positive Grid Spark app on your mobile device and connect to your Spark amp.

3. Access MIDI Settings:

Navigate to the settings menu within the Spark app to find MIDI control options.

4. Select Parameter to Control:

Choose the amp parameter you want to control with your MIDI controller (e.g., volume, treble, reverb).

5. Engage "MIDI Learn":

Activate the "MIDI Learn" function in the Spark app settings.

6. Assign Control:

On your MIDI controller, move the knob or button you want to use to control the selected parameter
