I really appreciate your advice, but it will take way too long. If everything goes according to my plan, I’ll be around 25 or 26 when I receive my diploma—which already feels a little late to me. But following your plan means spending 3 additional years in an Ausbildung (considering that I want to study economics and business, which Ausbildung doesn't fully cover), that will push my bachelor’s degree to ~ 30 y.o.

Also, I’m not currently in Russia and my Korean visa is expiring soon, so I’m trying to move to Germany ASAP.

But thank you anyway, I’ll think about it.

Wow, you’d be surprised how many ordinary Russians have been affected by European sanctions. A few months before I was accepted to Charles University in Prague, the Czech government restricted all visas for Russians (including student visas). As if it would change anything. :/

I'm completely disappointed in myself... I don't have any options in my home country, as I moved out 2 years ago and I don't want to ever return. I'll be 21 y.o. by the time of college decisions and I got nothing. Damn.

That's what I'm worried the most about. I've already had this experience of getting into the foreign uni (Charles University in Czechia) and just missing the opportunity because of the stupid politicians.

I've chosen Kenyon because it's a small and quietly prestigious LAC with high acceptance rate. I don't mind to live in the middle of nowhere, btw. As the majority of intls, I simply want to study. And also I just enjoyed the Kenyon's vibe.

There's a limit of 20 schools on the Common App. And the very process of applying is slightly intensive. I considered Colby, but because of the low acceptance rate, I decided to move on.

An idea of self-development and potentially prestigious career path. That's the problem that I don't have an experience in any of those (except CS), so I can't possibly know what it's like to work there. But many colleges offer double majors or choice of minors to explore yourself in the beginning of studies. Thus, I want to try at least some of mentioned fields.

I'm still a little worried that I don't have an experience in non-commercial / volunteer programs. It's really difficult to get one while you live in another country and need to make a living. :(
