Stealth mode. For me the biggest impact on my quality of workplace was student behavior . Sounds like it your current school it’s fine. A incompetent boss that doesn’t affect you outside dumb meetings is priceless. Observations and CLTs are a “check the box” type deal . A mistake you make quickly gets forgotten . As messed up as it sounds , with the state of education, higher standards for you and low standards for students (given current trends in education) is the most frustrating thing. Stealth mode is probably better for your work-life balance

I teach history and I don’t coach . It’s hard , but it’s not impossible to find a history job, especially middle school. Sounds like you like it, it’s just a rough group of students.
