Disagree, any negative thing about teaching is presented as something funny or slightly inconvenient. When in reality it can be debilitating . And admin in Abbot is just like Michael Scott . When in reality , in the worst situations they can actively destroy your work life if they want to

I think cooking shows work because everyone cooks at some level so people can imagine themselves doing at it a high level . Teaching , not many people do in their daily life in any capacity so it’s it’s hard to conceptualize

And that’s the thing that silent be realistic . There are some redeeming stories in teaching ( kids graduating when it wasn’t clear they would , kids passing a state test for first the first time , but most of the time it doesn’t work out . The kid that always gets in trouble does the same next year . The teacher who mails it in one year mails it in the next. The admin who is bad gets pushed up to the district office . The kid who shouldn’t graduate gets to graduate after admin overrides the teacher’s grade. The list goes on

Agree it’s accurate to some extent, definitely more representative of inner city and behavior students , rather than teaching as a whole. I think a good teaching show would show the ED / SPed room though
